@blackthorne57 - I read somewhere that "The Nightwatch" was actually a painting of a hunting party gathering in bright daylight. A combination of soot from the peat fire which heated the gallery where it was displayed, and a coat of caramel coloured varnish in an attempt to "preserve" it, contributed to the gloomy appearance we see in the painting today.
Ex SE&CR F1 class 4-4-0 no A148. The last one of the class was no 151 which was withdrawn in 1951 as British Railways 31151.

Why the dreadful green tint? Historic films should not be messed about with. A Rembrant would not be covered in whitewash, why despoil old film?
