  • americans are insecure they are scared to lose anything. they say lets chill but dont do it, just to fill their schedual up once they find something better they do it. if nothing comes up guess whos gonna call you. i was born and raised in the usa all my life. thats what i do.

  • lol. As an American I can say some of these quirks bug me too. Especially the "let's hang out sometime."

I don't ever say that unless I mean it.

  • I can't tell you how many times I've said to my American friends, "Hey, let's hang out sometime". Then I don't contact them for days or more. LOL. It was interesting the presenter noticed that. It's not something I would hear from an American.

  • Where is this white guy from? His accent is weird.

  • @MedicazosVidaReal

He said he's from Israel at around 0:35.

  • He said the he wants to go back home. where is his home? in Israel ! Palestine ! It is not his home, it is Palestinian home.

  • :) this is just exactly what i'm thinking

  • ahahha thats so true !!! u should watch The Boondocks!!!!

  • I find it ironic that the picture on the honeymoon slide is the Gone With The Wind poster. And that's a film about America being savagely ripped apart by war! lol

  • I'm getting seasick watching this.....

  • wow amazing.

  • His english is SO GOOD.

  • There's a huge (5 min) gap between what's being said and what's been done in this vid.

    Any chance to fix it?

  • as an american studying overseas in scotland i found this very informative with the culture shock phase

  • What red annotation???????

  • I want to go to Japan since I lived there when I was a child...I've visited about 2 years ago and everything I felt during that visit felt like "home" to me. I've been feeling this for about 12 years now...in a perpetual honeymoon stage, feeling like everything I do, eat, and think...everything is related to the Japanese culture and tradition (all the little things I do and enjoy), and feeling in a constant depression because I'm not there. Is this normal?

  • what a shame that after the 8th min there is no sound, not even with safari...

  • That's because the images are going too slow, so it takes longer time to complete than the sound at a normal speed.

  • Wonderful presentation.

    I love it!

  • I am a high school graduate student frm Afghanistan and very much interstd to study abroad, but the biggest obstacle is nt havng enough finacial source to cover the cost. Does anybdy knw of any individul Person/Organizaton/NGO tht can finacialy help me to study abroad? Or do you know of any Univ/Collge tht ofers ful scholarshp to internationl students?

Thr is a colege tht will acept me if I am able to pay ($20000/year). If any body is wilng to contribute, he/she can directly contct the collge

  • I found that while watching it in high quality the audio did not match the video and would go silent after 8 mins. It worked find in normal quality.

  • where's the sound after 8 minutes? :(

  • Surprisingly, I don't. Works fine on mind but I'm running Firefox 3.

Kai here btw. Your nick reveals all lol.

  • Do others have problems with the video not matching the audio?

  • Great presentation! Provides an excellent overview.

  • The first culture shock a foreign student experiences is actually having a seminar on culture shock!

  • guys ,,, i've got you a question ,, why all international students in malaysia are threatened?

hat is the point of making a police report if there is nothing ganna change...???????????????????

  • Vivid presentation

  • When u are in the U.S., the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that your home country is the best place on earth!

  • thnx fr posting this vid

  • thanks for posting!

  • "How come the dime is smaller than the nickle??" XD That's a pretty good point.

  • Oh, also ROFL at 6:59!

  • A great deal of people who come over here from Jamaica also hate it here for the first 6 months or so. I like how he puts this. Hahahaha! Borat referece! Awesome video.

  • Hilarious and correct representation of the US!

  • Two and a half years and he still says "discuss about"? "Undermine" rather than "understate. I don't mean to be too critical, but these things surprise me.

I noticed that one of his jokes fell flat. "Especially people with big egos like us." If addressed to an American audience, they would probably have laughed.

I guess there are some serious big egos in the group.

  • @randall2020 Not everyone learns a foreign language at the same pace. Sorry that some of us can't equate your awesome ability to properly SPEAK foreign languages. I guess you must master some languages other than your own, uh? I'm jealous!

  • You rock Dan. We will miss you..
