  • This is sooooo cool!

  • The conductor gets his hands ON!

  • I liked it myself. It might not be true to the original but it's a good take, I suppose.

  • This is bad all around. I understand it's hard to capture what the song was supposed to mean. However, what's the point in covering it if your leads don't sound at all like they even know each other?

He should sound desperate and she should sound disappointed. Instead they just do their own thing. Which can work sometimes but not in this case.

  • Love it but I think the back up we're really drowning out the dude : /

  • so beautiful.....

    i don't know, i like the guy soloist's voice --it's kinda sweet. i don't think it's bad or doesn't fit, i think it's just different

  • This is great, but the lead guy doesn't have the voice for this song.

  • totally agree with spazdor. n.n

  • This arrangement is SO GOOD. The fact that there is no proper studio recording of this available is a crime.

  • yea the girl is great! The boy was .. not good.

  • This is pretty good.

The girl singing is amazing, but I don't think the guy sounds enough like Ben. His voice is too....... deep?

  • sings The Muppets song!

  • I'm glad you place yourself on a pedastal above everyone else.

  • What the fuck is wrong with you? I'm getting the impression that you literally have no idea what you're talking about.

  • It's called spell check. And you have just confirmed that you have no idea what you're talking about...congrats.

  • hmm....

    the youtube community....

  • hahahahaha. seriously.

  • Amazing arrangement. Not sure how much I like the melody being taken down.

  • that's soo great.

  • beautiful :D

  • fucking siiick1!!!

  • if anyone knows of wher ei can find an arrangment for this, please message me.

  • 0_o! Unbelievable!

  • this is an amazing song.

    the background vocals were amazing.

eh; the lead, not so much.

but still, this was really great.

    :]

  • Holy fuckshit!

    This is amazing!

  • I liked the lead singers.

They sounded a bit like the original singers.

    (Sorry, I forget names.)

    The background is wonderful!

  • not like it matters just in case anyones wondering original singers were ben Gibbard and Jenny lewis

  • The original singers of Nothing Better are Ben Gibbard and Jen Wood (they are the ones who actually sing it on the album). Jenny Lewis definitely sings on the album, just not this song (I do believe she has performed this song live with Ben though)! Hope that helps!

  • Background was amazing. Singers were pretty terrible.

  • yeah how the fuck was he lead vocals

    good shit:)

  • the chorus was amazing...the leads were good also

  • Oh, he's not THAT bad. He has a nice mellow tone on the lower notes; he just doesn't have much of a range. And someone should have told him not to clear his throat into the microphone.

  • man that lead male vocal is badd

  • Yes for this song he is horrid.

  • theeeeeeeeee amazingness. i think i like this better than the original. awesome awesome.

  • unwritten rule: NOTHING can be BETTER than the original!

  • Really now?

I know nothing of this rule.

  • Oh my gosh, that was amazing. I can't believe the chorus in the back. the two lead singers were okay, but DANG the background was amazing.

  • lmao

  • perfect

  • Best Postal Service a cappella, I think. Great job. The part around 2:50 was excellent. :D

  • the original is the postal service- nothing better

  • the originals??? PLEASE somebody tell me!!!!

  • that guy cant sing..the rest where pretty good

  • this is pretty awesome...yeah, the guy doesn't sound like gibbard, but it's a different thing they have going here, and other than being drowned out, he doesn't do a bad job...and the girl's great too...freaking cudos on this

  • I agree beautiful harmonies in back, goof female lead, bad male lead

  • *good female lead

  • That was beautiful until the guy started singing.... You guys could have got someone better. The female soloist was excellent. Then that one soprano note was a little flat.

    Nice though.

  • the lead solos are off, but jesus christ, those background harmonies are just beautiful...!

  • shut up fuzz blanket you sloppy twat waffel

  • I think is actually pretty good, the mic of the guy wasnt working, or maybe he wasnt working!

  • Nothing will ever beat Ted's group. SPEED RACER(scrubs reference)

  • this is painful to listen to

  • all these harvard a capellas have horribly drowned out vocals

  • the asian girl is hot

  • this shames the song. his voice is much too deep, she's singing much too fast. Hopefully Havard has some better groups!

  • i love it.

  • DAMN. puts my old highschool group to shame

  • nothing gets me more than a the voices that sing in harmony

  • harmonizing is the greatest thing ever hahaah

  • the lady sometimes sped up too much so it sounded wierd

  • the postal service has so many A Capella versions of their songs

  • I think the girl soloist actually did really well because you can hear her over the backing singers. All the a capella I've seen recently has the same problem, the backing singers are really awesome but you cannot hear the soloists.

Probably the mic's should have simply been adjusted better :)

  • haha freakin clever i love it.

but i gotta agree, the girl does sounds too loud in the start. sounds like shes barely keeping up with the song.

  • shes bang on time

  • This is very clever. I think the background where a little loud, but brilliant and I doubt the soloists could really hear themselves, also they MUST have been nervous. I think it's really good overall!

  • eh male soloist wasnt very great...

female soloist -- wow...couldnt they find someone better...she sounds as if she is screaming in the begining!

  • that was pretty =]

  • the background singers were great but the soloists were... eh.

  • very clever!

  • =D I love A Capella! And this song =] They are very talented, and he sure is cute. Loved his voice, but the background sounds kinna drowned the soloists out. =/

  • I love this song and how they do it, but I hate how one girl hits a loud high note right before the girl's solo. It hurts my ears! All over all, this is very amazing though!

  • eeehh...the singing was ok...all together though it was pretty awesome!

  • amazing!!!

  • Ha dude that sounds cool

  • Wow! It's amazing :D... but I agree, the guy is a little weak :D...

  • The girl was really talented, the guy was weak, no offense! <3

  • all you can hear is the girls in the back

  • The male soloist sounds like kermit the frog lol I like the girl's voice a lot though

  • Nicely done.. except for the soloists. :x

  • agreeeed!

  • that was awesome

  • the lead singer is cute, but his voice is all wrong for this song.

  • the girl did a great job!

  • que bien canta la niña!!

  • The girl was awesome

  • THAT WAS AMAZING

  • great conducting

  • really good background but couldnt hear the singers though - esp the male lead but still an awesome rendition. look forward to more.

  • How about there is Nothing Worse than when an a cappella group needs a conductor... especially when there's a beatbox.

  • almost every college acappella group that is good has a conductor

  • reallly good!

  • 'pop' style songs,( for lack of a better word) sound worse in chorale aggrangements, although i liked this one it's that scoop and stain stuff along with that whiney tone that kills it. This one is better than most and I really liked the backround.. keep it up

  • i love the background music singers they did a fantastic job to make it seem like like the actual song but the two singers need some improvement

  • amazing, but the male needs to sing louder!

    kudos!!

  • bloody cool

  • best a cappella TPS yet!

  • sick, yo

  • this is great the lead singers just can't cut it and the capells groups too much for them to compete with

  • Actually, I thought the male solo was quite pretty. His facial expression was kind of funny though. The female solo was all right. She seemed a little shaky and stiff, though.

  • I liked it. I'd have to say I favored the girls solo over the boys, but nonetheless...it was pretty good. Good job :)

  • i thought it was amazing

  • the male solo was mediocre. didn't fit the part very well.

  • preach on

  • that was great, but the the singers ara too loud for the leadsinger^^

  • that was sick!!!!!

  • amazingly great.

  • Bloody Brilliant

  • i love this songgggggggg

  • that was wicked ill!

  • I got shivvers.

    Amazing.

  • dang thats so cool.

  • that was awesome! thats so cool that you put all of that together..well done.

  • the girl seems so tense...

  • Great version of a great song

  • yo risa is the shit

  • kool vid

  • *awesome but he needs to be entirly louder thats all*

  • very very awesome..

  • holy. crap.

  • what are u talking about? the girl has a mint voice

  • that is the gay-est shit I've ever seen

  • amazing job guys!

  • the girl is lame..the guy is cool nice voice...DUDE!
