  • gorgeous!!!!!!!!

  • you pluck a chicken and tweeze your eyebrows! I used to say the same thing in esthiology class and my teacher would freak out!

  • I think not only brow shape, but also their thickness depends on your facial features. I have a bit of a bulbous nose, which looks quite big when I do NOT pluck my eyebrows. I'm not a "classic" beauty, rather a babyface :-)

  • Lisa could you please do a make up tutorial for wheatish indian skin. Im finding it very difficult to wear any make up besides eyeliner! Thank you so much <3

  • you're beautiful Lisa x

  • lovely lip color..can u pls let us know the shade

  • i would LOVE to have her do my makeup<3

  • i just love your make up sense....so natural and sophisticated........your confidence in your work and your British accent are just WOW!!

  • what kind of blush are you wearing? you look SO pretty and fresh!

  • @mohnbloomish of thanks, its a MUFE one from my liquid blush video. Have a look at that X

  • I'm so confused! I've heard that the closer together ones eyebrows are, the thinner ones nose is. After 25 years of having plucked my eyebrows wider apart - because my bridge is basically thin, but I've got a terrible button nose with a bulbous tip - I'm totally rethinking my brows. Let them grow closer together? Fill in thicker? They have a high natural arch, but it does look odd and quite wicked, so now what do I do?

  • For sum reason u really remind me of makeupadikt here on youtube i think its the tone of ur voice plus ur accent and the overall way u speak plus both of u r very feminine so that may also play a part in it...neway this video was exactly wot i feel about brows n hw i do mine n i havent let anyone touch my brows for the same reason lol keep up the amazing work u r a brilliant makeup artist!!

  • @mymakeupstah it's a Leighton Denny one called Embellish me. Let me know if you find a dupe for it.

  • hi Lisa or anyone for that matter, im looking for a dupe of the nail colour in this video. its by danny laighton? but im not sure. can someone please help?

  • Hi Lisa ! Just wanted to let you know I follow your channel religiously from Paris. Every single advice you give is brilliant, and so well explained ! I loved your tutorial on brows, but unfortunately, I'm one of those unlucky girls who barely have any hair where their eyebrows should be (they're not overplucked, they just never grew properly). Every time I try to fill them in they look really drawn on... Would you have any tips and tricks about this issue ?

  • LOL yes, finally, someone who also think that they look like tadpoles! :)

  • HI Lisa. Is it true that filling in your brows with pencil will make the hairs fall out? I have been told that many times by sales associates at make up counters...Is a shadow type brow color/filler better?

  • I have the sparsest brows in history, and I have NO idea at all how to fill them in naturally, without it looking like I've gone crazy with a pencil and pressed down like I'm colouring in a picture. They're not only sparse, but thick. However, they have a nice shape, they arch naturally but I still can't seem to fill them in without looking bad... any tips?

  • Hi, I was wondering whether you could help me as I have really thin and quite blonde eyebrows which are barely visible! Would you suggest a certain product for it? XXX

  • Great tips :)

  • Thanks fo rthe tips!

  • Hi Lisa, I've got super thick and dark brows, i just want them to be less prominent and fierce.. is there any other way other than bleaching them? TQ

  • Hi Lisa...I wanted to ask for an advice...I have brown hair but black brows, and I can't make them fit like I want to...Can you recommend me some useful eyebrow pencil please....Thank you in advance

  • HI Lisa, I was just wondering what lipstick/lipgloss were you wearing on this video, ive been looking for this color, it would really make my day if you can reply. thanks so much!!

  • great tips. she is so beautiful! she has such a gorgeous face.

  • Every time I watch youtube videos about eyebrow shaping and stuff, it makes me feel so stupid, because I used to have REALLY thick eyebrows and I decided to pluck them, now they won't grow back all the way, they just grow back in patches :(

  • I have blonde eyebrows and any eyebrow pencils are just far too dark. Can you recommend a good light one?

  • You're videos are so helpful and I really appreciate your way of talking about beauty and staying natural. :) Thank you so much. You're a great "guru".

  • Good tips. Going to try the bleach, n ur eyes are beautiful Btw...

  • i tend to leave the fine hair that grow on my temple because they kind of work like a bronzer. It always looks odd when I remove my hair there cause i think it acts a contour.

  • i have been doing exactly same routine, less plucking more bleaching above the eyebrow, since you need extra hairs to build your eyebrow make up,and not making them look too ''evil''looking near your nose bridge

everyone should try this, rather than overpluck them and making yourselves look older

    fantastic video Lisa :)

  • Would you recommend bleaching like you do for someone with medium skin tone and dark hair?

  • What is a good eyebrow product for blondes?

  • im wondering what is the polish your wearing? its a deep purple i think. im tring to find a purple like this one your wearing.

  • someone once told me, "eyebrows should be sister, not twins." that made me appreciate the asymmetry of my face more, and this video affirms that. thanks!

  • @Rachaelstp michelle phan says that.

  • i love full brows as a kid no one taught me to pluck so i went crazy now i been using a brow treatment to gt them back and like yours one is a high angled arched , i used to be obsessed with making them the same i have a thing about symmetry but problem i have is the colour, my brows are a very dark brows, there not jet back there soft what product do you recommend

  • You've made me appreciate my thick brows. Thank you!

  • Threading is so painful and waxing brows will make the skin around your eyelids saggy.

  • Hello, I'm eastern european and have fairly thick and slightly unruly brows and I've often been told to have them cleaned and I thought I was strange to want to keep as much of my natural hairs, it's refreshing to hear someone else be so fussy about keeping you eyebrows as natural looking as possible.

  • Hi, Lisa. I've just discovered your videos. What do you suggest for someone like me who really doesn't have eyebrows (They never grew)? I have a few stray hairs and no shape and I would honestly give my left foot for a really thick unibrow. :) LOL.

  • WOW, Lisa!! I have never seen a makeup video like yours before and I love it!! You seem so wonderfully natural and that's how I am. I am so happy I found your channel!

  • lisa what is the lipstick your wearing and blush?

  • very helpful.. thank you lisa.

  • I just found your channel and i love it. You're so professional and also your voice is really calm :) And you're super pretty too

  • Lisa, first, thanks for doing this video. It's very helpful. I have a dilemma. I'm in my 60's and my eyebrows are sparse. I also have white hair and my eyebrows are a mixture of black and white hairs. I've been using mascara to color the white hairs because I can't find anything that doesn't make me look like I have BROWS!!! I've tried using black, grey, and blond but nothing seems to look natural but the mascara but I still have those gaps w no hair in them. What should I do? Thanks!

  • Lisa, your makeup in this video is just gorgeous!! I am very pale and looking for the perfect pale pink blush like what you are wearing...what color is it? And do you know of others that come off similar? I try so many and they all tend to look more brown on me =(

  • Lisa, helpful video once again, thank you!

How can you make the brow colours (pencil and powder) most long-lasting? And I have a very cold, almost pink (dyed) haircolour, blue eyes and skin similar like yours in colour (you can see in my picture on YT). What colour would you reccomend for my eyebrows? I just can' t figure the right one out! Thanks so much!

  • hi, im using the clinique blond brow pencil, do you think the mac lingering pencil is similar? i pencil my brows daily and therefore use alot of them, it would be better to use mac then i can back to mac the empties.

  • What would you recommend for someone with "no eyebrows?" Not from over plucking, but I've always been that way. I have just a fine amount of brow at the inner area, and then where most "arches" would be, mine just end I have (quite literally) about a dozen hairs between that "arch" and the end of the brow. I never pluck at all, and I don't have enough to "brush" or groom. When I powder/pencil it makes a huge difference in my face! But how do I do it the RIGHT way and with what product?

  • Do you have any tips for keeping your brows looking tidy while you're trying to grow them out? Absolutely wonderful vids, thank you for sharing your talent with us :)

  • I really enjoy your videos. Juicy tuesday recommended your channel and here I am, admiring your appearance and what you have to say. I will search your channel for a video on chappy, cracked lips. Maybe I can find something. Meanwhile I will start again using my brushes!

  • Hi Lisa :) This is one of the first videos I have seen from you, and I think you're just great ! :D I'm still in school and I never really did much to my eyebrows, apart from plucking a little bit underneath every now and again. The thing I would like to ask, is what eyebrow pencil would you reccomend for someone with light brown eyebrows- something less expensive? :)

  • Hi Lisa.. I have just recently discovered your video through JuicyTuesday and has been hooked eversince. Your everyday makeup tutorial is wonderful. My blusher stays on all day today and I love it! I have never looked so healthy before during the day and without too much makeup on. Btw, I have sparse eyebrows and it gets thinner towards the tail and it's hard to fill them in. When I do fill them in with an eyebrow pencil, it looks funny. Help :(

  • Thank you Lisa!

    Someone once told me:

Eyebrows are supposed to be sisters, not twins.

Thank you for showing me how to embrace mine, which are different from one another;o)

    Love

    p.s. Wayne sent me;o)

  • Hello Lisa, thank you so much for this video. I am 52, & still have good skin but notice that my makeup routine is having to subtley change now I am older. It is so hard to find any help for the older face, but your eyebrow suggestions are perfect. I have your colouring, but with green eyes, but my eyebrow colour has faded. Recent photos show my face with no eyebrow definition. . I have practiced filling in my brows & they look so much better. Hoorah for your help with us 'older' women

  • lisa! i need help! i have black eyebrows. perhaps they are dark brown but brown shadows stand out as too light or red, etc. if i use black eye shadow, they obviously end up looking to dark. i cant get my brows to look natural. i don't have crazy bone structure, more of a soft face. some days they look fine natural but most days i want them to be more defined. can you please give me some suggestions?

  • Do you just free hand the bleach? How you you recommend a first-time bleacher do it so they make the fewest mistakes? What are some bleaches you recommend?

  • @girlythingsbye I use either Jolen or Boots 'Expert' range. The good thing is you get time to get it into exactly the right position before it starts bleaching so if you make a mistake just remove it with a damp cotton wool and re-apply. X

  • You are absolutely stunning. c:

  • I don't like thin eyebrows on myself either. The thinner they are, the more keeping up. Mine already grow like weed anyway and I'm always surprised about people saying they don't grow back, since mine are impossible to exterminate! Btw, I always refer to tadpole eyebrow as sperm cell eyebrows. That's when people realise it's an unattractive look.

  • Hello, I'm from Brazil, and I want to be a make-up artist so bad!! I'm gonna "devour" your videos... :-))

The problem is that, in general, to be a make-up artist in Brazil, you have to be a hair stylist, as well, and I know nothing about hair!

Can you give us some precious tips about your profession and how to be well succeed in it?

Thank you very much and congratulations for the great job! Kisses from Rio de Janeiro

  • I had my eyebrows waxed when i was about 13, and the girl did an awful job. Ever since then(i'm 15 now) i haven't been able to grow them out. I'm trying really hard tho. It's just so embarrassing to look at and I end up plucking then back to there ugly shape. :(

  • @lmfaolol59 dont pluck them its better to buy a eyebrow shaver and shave the hairs

  • Thanks a lot on such a usefull video!

  • thank you for the way you explained this video (the tips you give are very useful)---it has helped me lots !!!

  • Wow this is very useful! Thank you!

  • you sound just like my mother when you talk about brows... you both have the same pet peeves!

  • Hi lisa I'm from Argentina so I'm so sorry if I write this all wrong, I just wanted to know if you could show how to apply eyeliner to the lower lash line likein the picture from your gallery "Alexandra Burke - Robin Derick - 2010", I'm really sorry about the way this is written.

  • @anilladm dont worry, your English is fine I can understand you perfectly. There is a black gel eyeliner along the water line and smudged along the bottom lashes. This is then blended a lot with a black powder to soften the effect using a brush x

  • I have favorited this vid as it is very helpful for me. Our brows are almost twins. I have a higher natural arch on the left also. I use powder just to fill in the tails and a little bit at the top past the arch, which is all I need. I like a natural fuller brow also. Thanks so much for the tips! xoxo :) Carla

  • Lisa, what do you think about 'trimming' eyebrows. I've noticed notice many eyebrow tutorials on youtube suggesting this. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

  • @bunnyhunny9 Only start doing it if you really need to because once you start you have to carry on and it changes their appearance. I know lots of people genuinely need to but I also see so many girls who dont really need to (prob you tube like you said). X

  • Hi Lisa, I live in Germany and i want to buy the Perfect Lips Pencil in Nude, but i ve found another named Boots No 7 Line & Define LIP PENCIL.....is the same thing??? Thanks.

  • @rograndier I think it is...is the shade name still Nude? x

  • @lisaeldridgedotcom Ja there is a Nude shade among them......I think it s the same.......Thanks so much for answer....Keep doing these. You are great.

  • im in the process of growing my eyebrows out at the minute to thicken them! have you any tips to make the process less horrible looking? or do i have to grin and bare it?!

  • @pucktweety keep filling in the gaps with powder or pencil to make the transition phase less unbearable. You can also draw tiny feathery strokes with a very fine pencil or brow pen so it looks like more hair x

  • @lisaeldridgedotcom thanks for the advice! driving me crazy but ill get there eventually!x

  • my left eye brow swirls at the tip.

  • your brows look amazing!

  • Thank you for this video. This is the best brow video I've watched. I struggle with mine as they are very thick with long hairs. I'll have to try powder dry like you said because I don't really need much.

  • what do you do for the brow hair in the middle? i pluck those as much as i can but most are just so fine. should i just bleach the rest?

  • @EternalTwiHard yes plucking is fine to remove the strays in the middle and for shaping underneath. x

  • you remind me of the brow sins I committed in my younger less informed/skilled years - oh the shame!

  • could you show us how you do your hair?

  • Oh how I wish I never was into make up when super thin eyebrows were in. mine have NEVER recovered, so very many years later.

  • I'm with you, I like my brows low maintenance and natural and go for months without touching them...although I'm blonde so I can get away with neglecting them. I have had them waxed in the past but they always left them too thin so now I just pluck the occasional stray.

  • Hi there, I have dark eyebrows quite like yours, can you recommend a MAC eyeshadow colour that I could use to fill them in. Thank you xx

  • Hi, Lisa. Will you give suggestions for a modern, night-time eye look that can be used with blue eyes and fair skin? I find that most colors used on blue eyes are earthy and not so chic for a dressed-up look. Thanks, love your videos (:

  • I hate the "tadpole" eyebrow look, too!

  • could you do a tutorial on your make up - it's gorgeous!!!!!

  • @LotusKitty111 its mainly just the MUFE HD from the liquid blush video...I filmed this one right after. The colour and application is listed on the blush vid x

  • Can you suggest a good eye cream for premature aging and fine lines? I don't want one too heavy, but feel as though I need something. Thank you for the video, it was really helpful. xx

  • Can you suggest a good brow pencil or eyeshadow for blondes/dirty blondes? It feels like I've looked everywhere but I can't seem to find one that's light enough and doesn't lean to the warm/red side.

This would help me sooo much. Thank you :)

  • put gift before youtube.com and see what happens !

  • Thank you =)

  • Thanks for the great videos, I'm just wondering what you think about mineral foundation such as the lilylolo? Do you think it's quite a heavy product and does it destroy the skin's natural luminosity?

  • What i’m hearing is … know your brows and build. Unfortunately I over plucked in the ’70’s. I never know what to do with them. I’m trying to do something new because they have gotten lighter as I have gotten older.

Thanks for self indulging as you put it, it really helps.

    Janet

  • I am a latin skin type, it's impossible to have the few hairs on the top bleached..I think that you bleach them just because they are few.. and not thick at all..most latin have very thick brows,so the best thing is to have them waxed...

  • Thanks for very helpful video! I have this problem that I am very fair with blonde hair and almost every brow colour looks red on me. For example at the moment I use MAC fling but it looks red on me too. I really like done brows but it's so hard to find the right colour for fair blonde. I was wondering if you can suggest some good brow colour or product for this problem?

    Have a nice evening!

  • I can never find any eye brow pencils that match my brow color. :(

  • @Kathleenmarie25 have you tried Laura Mercier? Failing that, the japanese brands are also good for brow shades x

  • @lisaeldridgedotcom No I haven't, I'll have to try that :) Thanks!

  • i love thick eyebrows as well, but here in my country everyone plucks their eyebrows as thin as a line. i don't pluck mine that way as i like them thick.

  • I would love to have eyebrows like Audrey Hepburn's

    xxx

  • What a helpful and informative video!! Thank you so much for making it Lisa.

And I just have to say ...... Holy CRAP that is a HUGE freakin' diamond!!! LOL

  • it was very thankful ;) since you mentioned that you bleach them could you recomend me any product to bleach some facial hair? i have little baby hair on the lower part of my cheeks and its not too noticeable but i notice it and kind of annoys me so please if you know something to bleach it or remove it without harming my cheeks please tell me , thanks ;)

  • @mylifeinrome7 jolen cream works well

  • You're great Lisa, I completely agree with you, natural look is absolutely the best! Hate the fake brows!!!

  • hi lisa i love your videos u have changed the way i look at makeup :)

what do u have on your lips in this video?

    xoxo

  • Lisa your just the best!!!

  • I have kind of a moustache, and I use to bleach it. But it's kind of still there... What do you think about waxing? Will it grow back thicker?

  • Great video. You have such gorgeous, flawless skin - jealous!

  • Couldn't agree more about over-plucking eyebrows, such an ageing, unflattering look - natural, groomed brows are the best

Thanks for another lovely, helpful video, Lisa! you rock :)

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Lisa, would you please post a picture of your engagement ring? It's gorgeous.

  • Thank you! :)

  • this was a great video. i havve super dark, pretty much black hairs. what do you recommend i use to fill in my arch? made a mistake one day of not paying attention and overplucking *guilty* lol and now my natural arch won't grow back so i have to fill it in all the time now which gets annoying... sigh. using a brown shadow doesn't seem to work for me.

  • please do a tour of your studio!!

  • @baiboo

yes please! that would be lovely - and/or maybe a little peek into a few of those boxes of vintage make-up? perhaps with a special appearance by Betty???? :)

  • rocking that blush!! is that the MUFE one from your blush video?

  • I have had thicker brows and very thin brows. I feel that the thinner brows with a soft curve in them flatter my face better and I get more compliments when my brows are done in their thinner version. So, while I really enjoyed this video, I firmly believe that brows, like makeup in general are highly personal and its difficult to make too many generalizations about how they should be done. Although I do agree that many young women are overplucking their brows to the point of no return GRT VID

  • This was such a great video--I agree completely! I like that you can still see a little "skin" through your brows--thank you! :)) Lisa

  • Lisa, what bleach do you use? I dont pluck mine I'm scared to but the bleach option sounds perfect to tidy round the edges.

  • that was really helpful!! thanks!!!

  • Hi Lisa! Just recently I got interested in brows when I became aware of the fact that the brows shape can change your face expression. And as my brows hairs tend to hang down (making my face look sad somehow), I began plucking them a bit. Anyway I try t leave them as natural as possible, even keeping some distinctive rebel hairs that I think are part of personality :)

I learned a lot of things from your video! the idea of bleaching the hairs is genius! I'll use it!

  • You are beautiful :)

  • hi Lisa! your videos are so useful!!! I have a question.

I'm looking for the perfect colour for my brow, shoud I choose the same, a lighter or a darker colour?

ps: I don't know if it's relevant but I have brow darker than hair.

thank and greetings from italy :D

  • You are so pretty, you've got that wonderful beauty of Emma Watson!

  • Hi Lisa. I have medium brown hair & black eyelashes & brows. On the plus side, my eyelashes are very long (people always think they are false). On the minus side my eyebrows grow really long so I end up having to trim them. Unfortunately towards the outer ends the hairs are very sparse and never grow straight. I end up having to either a) leave them grow long and curly to try and cover the gaps or b) cut them and be left with very sparse and that too perfect shape u mentioned. Any advice?

  • Wonderful in ode of thicker brows, I am going to ease off on too thin eyebrows...

after your vid has inspired me

    as well great penciling trick!

  • Thank you for this video. Its a comfort to know that I'm not the only one who's afraid of getting their eyebrows professionally done. I've done the same things as you for years. :)

  • I do really agree with your opinion about brows! I must say you're so right! Thanks for the answers!

  • i only get mine threaded ( it was a friend's recomendation as i loved her eyebrows) because i find mine were SUPER thick, and plucking can take ages! I agree with you that they can look too well done whe you thread them from the top... but if i bleach (jolen too) mine they look funny and dont last very long . That's a reason why i dont always use eyebrow pencils because they enchance them TOO MUCH, then people look at them..i hate when they look at your eyebrows when your talking!

  • I have a question Lisa. I noticed that you said that this blush's name is Carmine from Make Up For Ever. I looked on Sephora's website and that name isn't there. The closest shade that I saw was Caught In The Act. I noticed as well all the 14 shades' name on the Make Up For Ever website is different from the Sephora website. This is confusing.

  • @evageline01 I noticed the same thing today..... that is confusing....

  • love your vidoesss :) xx

  • best make-up guru on youtube! xo

  • Couldn't help but laugh at the tadpole comment. Also loved the structure concept and the the wet powder vs. dry powder. I'll definitely use these tips, thanks.

  • thank you..this video was very helpful! that blush looks beautiful on you!

  • I really wish someday you will treat my eyebrows:) haha...i am soo so fair with extremely dark eyebrows naturally (dark brown, but its so dense, that it looks like black)

you can imagine how hard it is for me to treat them...

  • What a great video!

  • I totally agree with... I don't ever let nobody do my eyebrows. Once a friend did them for me but she messed them up thank god they grew back exactly the same way I have them.

  • I have this question...I always go through hell everytime my mom plucks my brows...it just hurts too much...any suggestions to reduce the pain that actually work?

  • I have such a hard time doing my eyebrows... I think this video might just help, special with my obsession with trying to make them look symmetrical! (it's really hard not to want them symmetrical :P). Also, you're damn lucky you don't need to pluck your eyebrows, if I didn't pluck mine I'd be mistaken my a man!

Great video! Regards from Portugal x

  • @inesperfectdrug ha ha! Oh I do pluck them...I really need to underneath, I'm just careful not to take too many : ) x

  • @lisaeldridgedotcom Well still I have to pluck them everywhere, I'm like a caveman! :p I really love your videos, keep it up :D x

  • Hi Lisa, as always a wonderful video. I am sad to say that I plucked my eyebrows A LOT when I was a teenager but they have never grown back very well and I have always wished I had left them alone. I use the Shu pencil in seal brown no 9 and really like it. You are very right to tell people to be careful with plucking/waxing etc. as most people will end up regretting it in later years. Love your videos, your look gorgeous as always. Also, can I ask what is the colour on your lips? Thank you X

  • You have such beautiful, natural brows! Other YT beauty gurus should watch & learn from you since your brows are PERFECTION!

  • You are absolutely beautiful and awesome!

  • you indeed have the perfect eyebrows Lisa :-)

  • you are so beautiful, bye bye from Holland <3

  • i have jolen but never thought of bleaching the top of my brows would u plzzz show us :)

  • I've seen so many brow videos and I thought I know everything about them, but you did the best video so far,I've learnt so much :) thanks

  • Great video!! Can you recommend any good drug store brow pencils? I want to try filling in my eyebrows but I don't want to spend too much incase I don't like it. xx

  • Such an informative video! I could listen to you talk for hours! Thanks Lisa! x

  • 10 idiots

  • Tadpoles. That made me LOL. It's definitely hideous. How do they not see that when they look in the mirror? Your brows frame your face!! So important. Maybe eventually it will catch on, but I still have girlfriends of mine who are STILL over plucking.

  • oh lisa your just so good :)

    xo

  • Thank you so much for this video, its so help! My eyebrows are such a pain because they very light which means that most pencils, powders etc. are too dark and therefore look unnatural with my blonde hair. I just wondered if you could recommend any products that suit fair eyebrows? Thank you again, I always love to see your videos in my subscription! x

  • @emmasaraah I'm butting in here but MAC Omega e/s is a great brow filler for light brows:)

  • @PCA05KAT Thank you, I may just have to check it out! :))

  • I love your look in this video, it's so natural and fresh. What lipstick did you use? it's beautiful!

  • I bet Lisa's been watching the Xfactor and almost had a heart attack when she saw Cher Lloyd eyebrows.
