This brings back memories. I was 16 when this was shown, and remember all of the complaints that came flooding in after it was shown. If this had been shown nowadays, it probably wouldn't have worked, with other things like Most Haunted and Ghost Hunters on Sky etc, but back in '92 I guess there wasn't really anything else like this on? I was 13 when Ghost Watch was on; Halloween 1992. I didn't know it was a mockumentary and thought it was real, until it got ridiculous towards the end. By then, I was practically shitting myself anyway and couldn't sleep for 3 nights afterwards. It culminated on the third night when I awoke to hear something rustling next to me. It went on for about a minute and then something touched my head. I was shitting myself, only to then realize it was my football posters peeling off the wall above me.

I was 8 at the time and I genuinely think this program cause some kind of post traumatic dissuader. I never slept with the door closed, and insisted i had the landing light on at night. Watching it now as an adult, i still think it is unnecessarily grim and discussing! What was the disembowelled pregnant dog in the park got to do with it!!??? And why make the ghost, that is haunting 2 small girls, a suspected pedophile!!!??? I can see why in 1992 it caused such a backlash. Maybe not now though.

I was 13 when Ghost Watch was on; Halloween 1992. I didn't know it was a mockumentary and thought it was real, until it got ridiculous towards the end. By then, I was practically shitting myself anyway and couldn't sleep for 3 nights afterwards. It culminated on the third night when I awoke to hear something rustling next to me. It went on for about a minute and then something touched my head. I was shitting myself, only to then realize it was my football posters peeling off the wall above me.

It was great to watch at the time 'but it wasn't long before we knew it was a set-up , it was way back when the BBC had a little argument about why we had to buy a licence to watch it's programms ' after it was screened the BBC phone lines were flooded with complaints by pathetic adults ( HA !) who were scared shitless !... some people are brought up wraped in cotton wool all thier lives and have problems adjusting to adult entertainment

i was 9 and this scared me so much i didn't even get to the end to find out it was fictional! I was a truly traumatised young mind. in its defence tho my buddy who wasn't scared at all by it started using the word pipes as a nickname for those hard-to-flush turds that get left behind in the toilet for the next person to discover. "OMG it's pipes!!!" that was f*cking funny.

I was a kid when i saw this and it scared the shit outta me gave me whilst additionally giving me trouble sleeping at night for about a week or more after. All that despite that after my mother told me that her cousin knew the woman at 5:42 in the film who was trying to become an actress. I think the fact that they used believable people like Parkinson made it more truthful to the untrained eye. it was pretty manipulative as well as disturbing for 'innocent' kids like myself once were.

I cant believe i have now found this video. I was just thinking about it the other day. I was 10 when i first watched this and was terrified when i went to bed. I thought it was real until now. I have just wasted an hour watching this and what a lot of rubbish. How crap is the mother, her daughters and the woman in the studio at acting.
