  • You think the gray robot is bad? Heck no! That's just the beginning. At 5,000, you fight the faster blue robot, which is then replaced by the even faster, ray-shielded White Robot, and finally...the BLACK ROBOT! o.o It shoots giant balls of energy, can stealth, and destroy your bunker! The horror!

  • this was killer!!! memories of this game at grandmas house.

  • A bit earlier this morning I played this (and "Astrosmash") on an Intellivision set up to an old fake-woodgrain TV. Great fun. But those bats are annoying!

  • the sound FX rool

  • damn this was the shiznit.

  • every time i see that green title screen before the game starts i'm immediately flooded with childhood memories. as a kid i never knew why old men collected model trains and baseball cards, but i guess it's for the same reason i'm watching this nonsense on youtube.

  • this game was so badass in the 80s!!

  • I can say I made it to the invisible robot. That sucker would kick your ass.

  • @danond So did I, Man I don't know how many hours I did play on this system, but it was a lot I can tell you that.

I still have the intellivision lying in the basement, with nightstalker and astrosmash. When the spring time comes. I will dig it out from the basement and give it a testrun:)

  • One of the best games for the Intellivision, hands down.

  • Ugh the worst was when you would lose count of how many bullets you used and hear that dreaded BUZZZZZZ when you would go shoot the robot. Awesome game and the background beat definitely used to get me entranced in the game. How sinple of a game it is looking back now!

  • this was my favorite game i had on the console.

  • This game is addictive. I got up to the black robot the other night. the first one does not destroy the bunker, but the second one does. It gets crazier in the higher levels.

  • i used to scare my little brother by making the dun dun dun sounds from this gmae whe he went to bed hahha I love NOT l;oved and still play this game

  • lol whoever recorded this is terrible at this game.

  • This looks awesome compared to the Aquarius version of this game.

  • first video game I played when I was a kid. The music got to me. I love gaming and to think this is one of the first shooter games lol. I remember a black robot that shoots your base apart. so kewel!

  • Lol, I used to play this game when I was roughly 2-3 years old and I could make it to the invisible robots. This guy is terribad!

  • Maybe the worst player ever in this game....lol

  • This guy is terrible at it...it's unwatchable

  • "Wow Dad...you're really bad at this."

  • This game looks like Breker, but twisted with a goth theme and without the cool Cylon robots.

  • este es mi 2do gran favorito en el intellivison despues de tron deadly disc... simplemente excelente... jejej me acuerdo del robot invisible...

  • I could make it to the invisible robots and break 1000000.

I was the best in the world at this game, but it got me nowhere.

  • It's amazing how people were hypnotized by such crappy graphics. Of course, people will be saying the same thing about XBOX 360 and PS2 in another ten years or so...

  • Hahaha, I had this game. Man, look at the graphics. Even back then I found it extremely slow and annoying but addictive too. Hahaha.

  • This game scared me..lol

  • i loved the simple sound effects.

  • This was one of my favorite games on the Intellivision. I still have it, too. I pick it up and play it once in a while. Ah, those were the days.

  • Your intellivision still works?

  • I found IT!!!! Thanks I was trying to remember the name of this game, I was a kid, my older cousins would play this. I tried and sucked of coarse. Kool.

  • A very frustrating game. Fun though.

  • Little rusty, SuperPC? I'm just playin', but I was screaming the whole time "Shoot! Now move! Now turn! Look out for the bat!!"

That synthy, repetivie chord scared the crap outta me as a kid. "Dun...dun...dun...dun..."

  • Yeah, I wasn't really playing most of the games in my INTV videos. I just plugged in a cart, ran around a bit and moved on to the next game. :)

I only set up the system in the first place to capture Masters Of The Universe footage. But the Intellivision will always be one of my most favorite consoles.

  • Hehe, I was just givin' you jabs. But we totally appreciate your portal to our past with this. Once in a while I plug in INTV, NES, Coleco, etc. and have to do total recall on how some games worked.

  • That's the 1st thing I remember about this game... dun...dun...dun...dun... awesome! I spent hours upon hours playing this game.

  • Used to play this for hours on end as a kid. I remember my father getting quite far in this. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

  • even more memories...a game that freaked me out, especially when the robots blast your bunker apart and there is nowhere to hide...

  • the ability for the robots to do that was retarded. For example when you respawn in the bunker and a robot was right next to it, it would blast at it like it had a damn mini gun. At that point there really not much you can do. I would like to see this game in 3D though, maybe in a Half Life 2 mod or something.

  • this video of game play even gave me shivers =O Ima go buy this for my intellivision..

  • This is definitely one of my favourite Intellivision games.

  • i used to get so worked up playing this game. i got so nervous when i got stunned and couldn't move, I was like, "get up you f*ckin' asshole! robots are coming!"

  • this game was so simple, but absolutely great for its day.

i loved the progression of enemies, but damn it got hard once the white and black robot show up.

  • i remember i always went for the robot first!

  • OMG!damn that stupid music!! It still gives me the creeps to think I tried to hide with that bunker detroying robot. That was as far as I could get. Funny how after being bitten by the bat, you fell to the ground in slow motion. Thumbs up for the video!

  • This was one of those games you started loving and turned into a real love/hate relationship by the end. You went from a bot(stupid), to the purple one(mostly stupid)+bats turning into R1 bot, to White(3hit), to black(3hit+wider shot), to black(bunker destroyer), to invisible(bunker destroyer)

And dont get me started about placing the gun the furthest away from you if you died...

  • i hated it

  • This was one of the better games out then! Still love it to this day!

  • I actually don't like this game. It's confusing to me.

  • It was never fun past 80,000 I believe, as the robot could get bunker-destroying shots and the bunker would be forever gone. I remember keeping the robot on white so the black one wouldn't show up. Nice footage.

  • i had an intellivision collection for my ps2 and it sucked majorly. It's kinda cool to look at the past of the industry, but damn! those games are nearly unplayable by modern standards. With games this old, i'd rather read about them than play them.

  • i hated those dang bats! great game though. would've been even cooler if they could've made it with a few different mazes. this would be a fun game on an iphone! :-D

  • I got up to some invisible robots playing this game back in the day, was on the aquarius tho.

  • whoa... you really suck at this game... thanks for the memories!

  • There was a poke to this game, all yo had to do was wait at the bottom right hand side of the maze and shoot in a rythm and keep blasting the robots to kingdom come as soon as they appear.

  • I remember that trick! you had to get the rhythm down though... 9/11 was an inside job!

  • I have this game and love playing it. Im not sure if anyone else ever noticed this, but for some reason the robot in this game always reminds me of the robot in the classic tv show Lost in Space.

  • This game used to give me nightmares with the background music, beeps, and shots. Yuck! Awesome game for an awesome system!

  • Yeah, once those robots started eating away my bunker, the fun stopped.

    Still an awesome game though.

  • These simple games from the 80's are timeless, this is one of Intellivision's better games.

  • When you get to the invisible robots that's when the fun begins.

  • What's sad is the player here is getting smoked by the basic drone. I hated it when they could eventually eat through your bunker.

  • i was thinking the same thing. I was also wondering if they can destroy the bunker then why not the walls and spider web. What the hell are they made out of?

  • Well, as MST3K says, "If you're wondering how he eats and breathes, and other science facts, just repeat to yourself "It's just a (game), I should really just relax". :)

  • Relax!!!!!!!!!! How can I relax when bats turn into robots??? lol

  • Killer game! I had this on the 2600. I played the Intel version in 2004. Still a killer game!

  • I love this game! was the best game ever!

  • i used to have an intellivision with sking,a space game and a tennis game,it was a big wooden pannalled thing

  • the web blocked robot shots. and a spider did hang out there to paralize you.

  • I miss this game!

  • I always hated those dang bats!!!

  • Well Direwolf56, if you go into the spiders web, nothing happens. (Except for probably giving the robot a better chance to shoot you.)

  • That game was a bit frightening, huh? Dystopian.

God I had forgotten about that one. Thanks.

  • atari was the speed, intellivision was the graphics.

  • The music at the beginning is incorrect - that's the music from Lock N Chase.

  • The classic. I remember the fun when robots gets invisible and could destroy the bunker :))

Great ambiance too with the sound

  • this is the first game i ever played, its a classic

  • what heppens when you go into that web thingy in the corner?

  • if i remember correctly nothing. i think theres usually just a spider that hangs around in there and you dont want to be there when that is in there

  • well some old games are fun....

  • i got to invisible robot haha, damn i ain't played this game in years, was one of the best games, intellivision was the shit, yell

  • This was the greatest Intellivision game ever! I still get panic attacks from the background beats...

  • your kidding right?

  • It's cool how you could see every area in the game at once in many of these older games.

  • Fun game, but not recommended for (or within earshot of) anyone with a hangover.

  • I honestly doubt there was ever a Night Stalker arcade. Anyways this game is one of the greatest! I actually had the Intellivision II system. Geez, do I ever regret letting my parents sell it. I remember playing it very good until the invisible robot came..

  • WOW we're old dude now i used to play this game all tme long but never get to the invisible only the black robots..but now a i got in gamecube hell yeah..good memories

  • Yeah, spent hours and hours playing this game.

  • wow. sadly i remember playing this in the arcade

  • Really, whats the arcade version called?

  • oh god. i dont remember. i used to play it at a place called friar tucks in calumet city when i was like 7

  • Dude I've been to Friar Tucks in Calumet City a couple of times! Didn't it burn down a few years ago?

  • i have no idea. i never really go out that way anymore. i just googled looking for it and couldnt find anything on it. and to superpcenginegrafx i found a website that shows the arcade version of this game and i guess it was called berzerk just google it cause youtube wont let me post the link

  • The only arcades I go to these days (and rarely since they're so far away) are the Black Hole (Pilsen, IL) and Nickel City (somewhere up north). Both have a great selection of games.

  • Fuck, Friar Tucks burned down? I used to go there all the time! I remember when that guy got stabbed there. :(

  • Yeah it's gone now, unfortunately :( . I don't think I heard about any stabbing incidents there before, please elaborate on that more if you don't mind! I'd love to hear about any Friar Tucks stories :) .

  • I think you're thinking of either Berzerk or Frenzy. Night Stalker was never an arcade game.

  • (this response was directed to fattpieceofcrap)

  • Mi juego preferido de intellivision,la ambientación musical era sencilla y a la vez tenebrosa!yo llegué hasta el robot invisible, que salía después de tener 100000 puntos y ese si era pelúo para matarlo!

  • I got to the invisible Robot!

  • Thanx - great memories

  • I loved this game! I did really well on it until the robots came out that melted your bunker. **lol** I'm delighted that they have this exact version out for Xbox in "Intellivision Rules!" Sound FX and all!

  • This game was so cool.
