My choir just had a privilege to work with Andre Thomas and he was really great as a conductor. Not only that everybody respected him and we did a lot of work on our music, but he also was able to motivate us to put everything into it and even enjoy it. He is also very funny man and has a lot of great stories :-)
our choir just started working on this. when you sing "don't you" don't let it sound like "dontcha". a little faster than i would sing it. good otherwise. I love this piece
It's actually supposed to sound like dontcha. Their diction is too proper. It's a spiritual. Andre Thomas has worked with our state choir before, so yeah.
well sorry! i was just saying that our choir is more "proper" ...we're singing it for a contest. and i would have you know that my director is more than qualified to judge!...so yeah
Diction is off for this piece; way too proper as someone said. Instead of 'I' it should be 'Ah'. It comes off better to the audience and for this type of music. Make sure women don't overpower men at the end of the song =]
pretty good, our choir is singing this song too but the only problem is that your conductor played the song way too fast. the original speed should be slower but your mix of bass sop alto and ten are good
My middle school choir is gonna sing this. Such a cool rhythm.

It is a bit fast and the diction is way too proper. I would know... I'm in Dr. Thomas' choir at FSU.
