twice in the last 150 years we have been hit by a mass coronal ejection powerful enough to destroy most modern electronic devices we currently use. What are the chances of it happening again soon, better than winning the lottery . what would happen if most of the machines were rendered broken overnight, well not good. Does any one care about this indisputable fact , appears only a few do. What happens when a asteroid falls into the sum,? Does this maybe have anything to do with sun spots ?

when you burn something up it doesn't make it become nothing, just something different and does interact with the buring medium, not unlike when a metorite burns in our atmosphere, only much more reactive with far greater energy levels that in themselves might induce fission or fussion with the contminent meorite or comet. Just look at jupiter and shoemakerlevy's union & the aftermath.

@darkkittycry ...more like a gamma rayy burst, from what they showed & anticpated from the effectsin that No-ing flick , " even those mile deep in bunkers would not survive" was a qoute from that movie. Although it is concevable that a dense enough ejection that did not spread out due to interplanetary conditons , hiting during no magnetosphere could create earthquakes from the shoke waves & overpresure. These might be expect during final solar expantion Helium event
