The thing I like about this scene is that you can really sense the fact that Amy and River are related. They have a sudden chemistry when they look at each other, and when they basically know that the other one is thinking the same thing when they toss and shoot his fez, it's really clear that they have SOME sort of bond ... very subtle element of foreshadowing there, I think.
