Thanks for posting this. I recently purchased this app for my Nook Color and I haven't been able of find an instruction manual on-line for it. Your video was a great help in making use of this app.
Great demo, thanks! Is there an app that runs on a rooted nook (without the substantial amount of effort required to get ezpdf working) that supports text highlighting and annotations? Don't need a lot of those other features, but being able to highlight, annotate and bookmark is important to me.
Maybe, I'm praying, that you can help me out. I am trying to open password protected pdf files through the ezpdf reader, and while it does show "username" and "password" it will not allow me to select and open. The discription for this app does say that it will open password protected pdfs... maybe I am just doing something wrong? If anyone has any useful advice, please share, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks :-)
How many steps to get to a specific page number with a document? For example in Repligo Reader it's Menu > More > Go to page > enter page number and tap OK.
@cowgirlamberlee: Thanks for watching! You can get ezPDF Reader through the Android Market. Android Market is fully working on the rooted Nook Color, and if you used the fully scripted rooting method available from the nookdevs wiki, Android Market should've been setup for you. Just search for "ezPDF" once you're in the Market, and you'll find it. It's 99 cents though, so you'll need a credit card to buy it. Let me know if you have any other questions or problems!
@sugarkang: Thanks for the feedback! I always preferred music and text over listening to reviewers drone on (sometimes about random things haha), so I guess that was my mindset for these vids. It just seems like it's easier to get your point across more concisely through text, but maybe that's not the way to go here. I'll definitely consider your suggestion for any future vids. Thanks!
@zomgRAINBOW I think one way to look at is that if half the people ignore your commentary, then at least half the people are listening to your thoughts on the product. Whereas background music is guaranteed to help nobody learn about the product and even less likely that they will have the same taste in music.
But can it work with a Google Books PDF? Try Success: A Novel. Google for my post "Google Books PDF Smackdown: NookColor Vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab Vs. iPad" for link.
@mikecane2008: Hi. I tried your Google Book, and ezPDF Reader handles it fine, albeit a little slow: it takes 2-3 seconds to render each page. I also tried Adobe Reader 10.0.0 (the newest one from Market) and BeamReader 1.2.0, and they also opened the Google Book fine, but have their own quirks. The Quickoffice PDF viewer and Repligo Reader just display big X's. I'll do a comparison video and post it up some time this week.
You don't need to root it. It's in the NOOK Shop.

How long can you read pdf files? 8hours? Rooted Nook color's battery drains quickly right?

Agreed that the response is VERY glichy on the top choices. Can't return to directory and it is frustrating. Any workarounds?

Where did you get the app for your rooted nook? I have mine rooted and am trying to find the ezPDF Reader to put on mine.

it would be awesome if you gave commentary instead of having a song playing.
