My mate and I play all the time - but this seems to be running waaaaay faster than ours. Using an adhoc p2p wLan, watching my traffic meter, it never seems to go above 1kbps in transfer. THe Mplayer game (*just us 2, smallish maps*) runs about 1/4 of this speed. Anyone got any tips for me to check? Both laptops less than 4 years old. One Vista, mine XP

@1ownjoo2 I cant say witch. I never really finished the campaign for any sides, i only got to level 3 on one, I play this game online and LAN against my friends. We still do it to this day. Out of all the new strategy games, this one offers a better multiplayer expeirience. If i had to choose a favorite, it would be Laser General.

Singleplayer sucked in this game, but the multiplayer was the best multiplayer RTS ever. Much better than starcraft 2. This had alot of huge weapons that made you feel the power.

Yes you need two copies, but you can find some no cd fixes on the web, so you wont need the cd in the drive to play the game. Just install the game on both pc's and make sure they are on the same network.

Also, are you sure both computers are using the right network adapter? Starting a network game in Generals can be very frustrating, because 90 percent of the time it won't work for no reason.

Yes, hamachi also works with Zero Hour, it even works with nearly all strategy games. Eh, there is no pc serial number, I meant the game serial;)

Maybe it will work when you have installed hamachi, otherwise you have to reinstall one game with another game serial number (probably an illegal one if you don't have two copies)

@LpmVr If you've followed the tips in the video, made sure that every pc uses their own serialnumber (no matter if it's an illegal one, LAN network still works), and it still doesn't work, then you probably want to try Hamachi (google it.) Install Hamachi on both computers, then make a virtual network in hamachi, let your other computers join that virtual network via hamachi. Then fire up Generals, go to Options, make sure the IP address beginning with 5.... is selected..
