@odhit the bombs don't fall even on the Octocon ending. l don't think the Meryl ending is canon as in MGS2 they explain what everyone is doing except Meryl, the only time when she gets mentioned is when Snake is having a bad dream. Therefore Octocon's ending makes more sense.
