Its not always our fault.

Most I have spoken to abroad say they start learning English at the age of 5 or 6. An age where we learn things far more quickly.

We don't learn languages until the age of 11 - the age when most can't be bothered.

I wanted to learn French but I stupidly dropped the subject because there were some horrible people in my class. I wanted to learn Italian too, but there wasn't enough people for the teachers to think it worthwhile.
