@EntanglementSatan As with any other exercise, you play it SLOWLY until you have it perfect. Then you SLOWLY build up speed. No one becomes a shredder overnight :).

@EntanglementSatan I can. I have only been training alternate picking for a week or so, but these are really not that complex. If you're going go attempt playing these, or generally try to practice anything, you always have to start very slowly and learn the patterns first. If you try and play lightning fast, you'll only get frustrated and prolly sell the guitar off ebay or something. Always start slowly, use metronome and just practice practice practice. These videos are very good believe me.

Sure, the entire riff wasn't used in Paradigm Shift, but out of the phrase he was playing there was a portion that was slightly similar in comparison to the song. Have you never heard the song before, or are you disagreeing just for the sake of disagreeing? I just don't see how it's possible for you to not see any similarities between the riffs at all.

Yeah he practices 63 hours a day! And to this he has to time warp in order to get those 63 hours in a day. He doesn't do it anymore because he ages fast and also he will destroy all man kind and implode the earth as we all know it. Which is not good for album sales.
