I actually saw them playing a benefit performance at Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas last January. They played Kashmir, Live and Let Die, Elanor Rigby (just the songs I caught) and they were smokin'. They had a bassist, drummer, guitarist performing with them as well. I had never heard of them before then but what a great musical concept, hot women who are great musicians playing some of the best songs ever written on classical instruments.

FYI - There is no one other then them and a drum machine in these songs. The wailing guitar you hear is actually the middle 2 switching the tuning on their violins playing those solos. Check their website. It's all them. Seriously.

@TentacleOfCthulhu If you read the wikipedia page about their album, it specifically credits Slash for this song. I am a musician, and I don't see anyone playing some of those parts on this video. Without a ton of effects and midi, it would be impossible to create some of those guitar sounds with a violin, and I don't see any effects controls being hit either. Not saying it is impossible, but I would bet a lot of money that there is a guitarist participating in this performance.

My theory on what happened is some violin instructor decided to go to a modeling agency or something and he said he'd give people free lessons because he knew he'd be able to get attention and money on televised talent shows.
