Harley Davidson owners are preoccupied with image and sound, so much so that they've forgotten the basic principle that backs up those two aspects; performance.
Marvellous review sir. What I also like about this bike is the low maintenance requirements, what with hydraulic valves and the belt final drive. The suspension looks great too. I'm a lightish chap at 160 or so pounds fully kitted out and my Suzuki SV1000 had me looking like a jack-in-the-box until I had both ends resprung for my weight. Do you think Harley have persisted with chain primary drive to keep crankcase size to a minimum and keep a narrow angled V ?
Hey, great review on this cool looking bike. This is by far the best review of this motorcycle available on-line and yet only 565 views?! How would you compare this bike to some of the other "style oriented" HD's, a la the new Forty Eight (assuming that is available in your neck of the woods)? Again, great reviews, it is just a shame that so many of your bikes aren't available in the US, stupid moto manufacturers.

Thanks for the kind comments. The 1200X is by far the most functional of the Sportster series, in my view, simply because it handles and stops.
I have to say the Forty Eight also works pretty well, but not as good. Still it's far ahead of the more 'custom' style bikes.
