thx Chris.. i was just practicing left and right lead. dont usually do it live, its just good to have left side strength incase you get in awkward situations (drop a stick, miss a beat or a fill etc)

very good cover, you are obviously a very established percussionist. and judgeing by your kit and the fully mic'd up recording setup i would hazard a guess at a band member or session musician. but spot on with a little bit of showboating thrown in for good measure!

Well...You did a fairly good job but if you watch the drummer from The Killers he does NOT play his floor tom during the 1 first like you do on 25 sec & again 1:15sec. He is mearly playing 8th notes on his hi-hat. Also, you dropped snare beats during the chorus. I'm curious why you didn't finish the song?

Hi ultra, get yourself a tutorial dvd, something like dave weckl back to basics or even do a search here on youtube fot that title ;) as a teacher myself u may like to organize a few trial lessons with your nearest music shop, get a few rudiments and exercise routines going.. boring but will develop the consistency and confidence when playing in a band or with a cd and doing fills and nailing the '1'.. take it easy and have fun. cheers.
