GSP, fifth round decision, by takedowns. GSP has shown again and again he can take anyone down in the division pretty much anytime he wants. I'm rooting for BJ, but I don't think he'll be able to defend the takedowns, especially in the later rounds.

ok well yeah i saw Varners fight last ight and OMG Donald is amazing and i think you would agree on that..it wasn't that suprising so what do you. Varner is nothing like GSP and Cerrone is somewhat similar to BJ because of his flexibility but he def needs to work on defending takedowns which BJ is great at but so was matt hughes and you saw what GSP did to him.right?

BJ seems like he doesn't even think he needs to train for GSP but thats just my opinion..

no no i was just saying the varner/cerrrone fight shows anything can happen in mma. By the time gsp was facing hughes, hughes was beginning to slow down, especially back in december. Ive been following bj penns website since i heard the fight announcement, this guys training his ass off dont follow what UFC primetime shows you, its a shitty false portrayal. Also, a lot of the comments they use in the primetime show are really taken outta context

Machida had already beat Bonner, Franklin and K1 legend Michael Mcdonald before he fought Penn. And Penn put up a better fight than all those guys. I aint talking shit, just stating the facts.  Machida thought if he was heavier he would have a bigger advantage that is why he weighed 225.

I agree with ya...yeah lots of peeps on here have no idea about the actual bj who use to be heavy... Gsp barely has to lose weight for this fight he walks around 180 190 tops to where when weigh n comes he only has to cut the water. To where bj walks around just as much and have to work even harder to cut down to 155. ALl in all itll be a good fight.

both are excellent fighters... Bj can take anyone in the 175 division. but i dont quite think he has the power to overwhelm gsp... both fighters that penn has beat (huges & sherk) gsp has beaten with much more ease.... gsp has the edge on this one
