  • Magnetite?

  • I removed a post because the person stated he illegally recorded our lecture. I did this for his sake. In his post he also said my sister or I had said our cameras broke in the area the rock was filmed. We did lose battery power and I had to change the batteries in both my camera and metal detector, but they still work fine.

  • Even if it is a real rock, rocks with magnetic qualities are not uncommon. All it takes is a bit of stone work on the surface to make it look "otherworldly". This is not in the least bit alien in origin. It's a magnetic rock with a design carved on it. I'm betting I could make one. All I need to do is take a magnet with me next time I wander by the river and find a good stone to start with.

  • We spent a year looking for a company who made rocks like this one and couldn't find one. There was one person who contacted Art Bell and said he could make one. I contacted him and had him make me one. $100 later I received it. It's pretty good, but not as good as the one Robert has. But I'll take you on your bet, go make one. Let's see it. And don't forget to find a rock which has a fisher on it which matches the location of a stream that went through the original crop circle.

  • Thank you for confirming it can be done by a person. Even if the guy who made yours ripped you off, and even if it doesn't work as well as "the one Robert has", that still proves it can be done. You just made my proposition moot by saying this. Oh, and you don't find a rock with a fisher on it... you carve it on using sandblasting technique. I can find you a handful of people that do this sort of thing on a moment's notice. Big deal.

  • Not a real rock. It has a magnet inside it. Let someone break it open and see for sure.

  • The rock doesn't have a magnet inside and yes we've performed a drop test on it from about 4 feet. Not intential, but accidently dropped it.

  • You do know that there are rocks that naturally have magnetic properties, don't you? In short, it doesn't matter if it is a real rock or not. The magnetic properties are natural, and the carving is easily explained by having been carved by a person.

  • Ummm.. Not considered a "Drop Test"

  • Garbage, I got to see this rock in person. It's completely fake. Chuck and Debbie presented this rock in Roswell to the public and It did nothing to break my camera like they said it would, and they had no proof of anyhthing they said while in Roswell... They just want fame!

  • No one ever said it would break a camera. If you can find where I said that then post it. As for fame, you think this is about fame? This is about releasing information to the public so people like you can decide for yourself. That's all.

  • Its pretty obvious you are spinning the rock with the permanent magnet, and spinning the needle with the rock. It seems more like it would be a ball of clay, fired in a kiln, that had a Neodymium magnet placed inside of it.

  • Yeah obvious. And you were there.

  • Actually, the spinning of the rock and the compass needle are obvious, as GearzVoNKod3 says. It isn't obvious that it's a fake rock, but as I have said, and will continue to say until you agree, is that it doesn't have to be a fake rock. It just has to be a rock with magnetic properties. AND THEY OCCUR NATURALLY!

  • hmm.. I won't agree to anything based on assumptions. I never do, that's why we need further analysis. I do have rocks with magnetic properties for comparison and they react differently, but this won't tell us much till we get them in a lab. Remember we had a PHD archeologist look at this and it was determined we needed to get it in a lab.

  • @wwwufonut Ok, so was this rock ever sent to a lab? How is this rock different than other magnetic rocks besides the symbol? I don't know much about rocks, but I do know that there is a lot of shit that has NO explaination! That's why I'm asking for any new or updated info about this rock. If it is different than other magnetic stones, can you please offer more info on what was discovered as a result of more research? I would totally appreciate it! And thanks for the post.

  • It doesn't even have to be a fake rock. Many real rocks have magnetic properties. It's easy to carve a pattern on a rock. I know a guy who does this sort of thing for a living actually - the carving on rocks anyway. He would never do something like try to fool people into thinking he found some kinda alien magic rock.

  • Loadstones are rocks with magnetic properties. This rock's magnetic properties appears to be different from top side to bottom side. I researched this rock for over a year and located many rock engravers. The carving on this rock is an exact match to the crop circle from 1996 but on a smaller scale. I had this verified by a well known crop circle specialist.

  • The individual who created the rock has to know a lot of detail about the actual crop circle more that you can find on the Internet. This elimates a large variety of rock engravers. I put out the info so you can see it and help with the investigation. If people think this is a fake and not an artifact, then please help me locate the person or company who made this. So far it's been over a year since we did a press release and no one has come forward with evidence they created it.

  • Do some research. Loadstones were used as early compasses. This means they are polarized. Otherwise they would not work as a compass. The fact that it is an exact match to the crop circle from '96 means nothing other than somebody made a copy of the symbol.

  • I've got a question, did you, or whoever found it do a dig in the area where the rock was found? They say it was found in a sandy hill... maybe there's something under that there hill?

  • it;s called plutonium!! area 51 is exposed with that all around the area.

  • We did find some unsual magnet readings there.

  • Thats freakin awesome. Robert Ridge is my girlfriend's uncle. I've held that rock before. He's gotten alot of attention over it. If you guys have any questions about the rock I can tell you some stuff. It's pretty wierd thats for sure.

  • No need to call people names because you disagree. The rock has been surface tested and is a rock.. (Period) Further lab analysis will be done when funding is provided, and Robert has agreed to this.

  • The story can't come to an end unless we find a company which makes these. So far no-one has claimed they have an identical rock in their possession. Maybe the design is significant, a circle and crescent pictograph was found in Arizona about 10 years ago depicting a super nova which occurred in 1050 AD. Could this be where the crop circle design came from? We are looking into this.

  • Actually the area the rock was found has unusual magnetic properties. I hit it with my metal detector and picked up multiple hits but could not focus in on one area. When I tested my detector in a similar looking area 20 feet away, I didn't get any hits.

  • thank you.. Let Coast to Coast know this, maybe they'll ask me back.

  • Umm.. not to be a doubter - but I could do the same thing with any rock. All you have to do is drill a 1/4 inch hole into the rock and put a 1/4 inch rare-earth magnet inside it - cover it up with a 2 part epoxy putty, color and blend the putty with paint, and viola - a rock that can manipulate and be manipulated by counter-magnitism.

  • yep, that's the first thing the Archeologist said when he looked at it. After closer examination, he said it need to be put into a lab.

  • Okay. But how do you explain the design of it? Robert took it to get studied at ENMU-Portales under a very high tech microscope. They told him that thier is no such laser that could possably shape a rock like that. I've held this rock and it is the real thing. Don't you think that the first thing people would do was question it and try to call it a fake. All kinds of people around the states cannot explain this rocks formation. Get back to me.

  • Good question... I have two sample rock designs which are man made. They're close but not under a microscope. Robert's rock is a much cleaner cut design and magnetic properties are a lot different. Yes people call it a fake and don't care about it including the History Channel's UFO Hunters. They just blew it off. So far "NO ONE" has admitted to making this rock and selling it at a Roswell convention in the past. This investigation is still on-going.

  • You've got to be kidding me. Are you suggesting that this rock is any different than some other slightly magnetic ferrous rock? Is this a sedimentary rock? If so, it could contain a magnetic core. The spiral could be a fossil.

Has it been through a radiographic examination? Rockwell hardness? Magnaprobe Magnetic Field Detectors? Come on.

  • Well you seem to know all the answers, so find me one of these little things, and If you are willing to pay for the lab work, then

we will do all you suggest. UFO Investigation

is a hobby, we don't get paid doing this. It's all on our dime. And no, it's not a fossil, it mirrors a Crop Circle from England which occured in 1996.

  • This video is just to introduce to the public the artifact's polarity. Yes you have to spin the rock to get the compass to move, and yes you have to spin the magnet to get the rock to move. It will not spin by itself. Most rocks like this are called "lodestones" and do not exhibit this type of polarity or are this color.

    chuck

  • At this time we've done a years worth of research trying to understand the design and find a duplicate especially with the magnetic properties. We have three Phases of Investigation. The first is complete which includes releasing this information to the public. Remember, this was found in the brush 4 years ago away from a lot of foot traffic. If you know of an exact artifact, please come forward and tell us. Help us with our investigation.

    thank you

    Chuck
