  • All of Debonaire records were kickin' back in the day here in J-ville,Fl he had a knack of producing some great sounds...The one that stands out for me was Muppet bass...

    Damn..havent heard this in over 20 years! Reminds me of the underground (pirate) stations in Miami back in the day such as Rhythm 98 and BASS 91.7 FM, who used to play all the jams( the dirty versions) from

    2 Live Crew, Beatmaster Clay D, Gigolo Tony, MC ADE, MC Shy D,..as well as all the other underated Miami Bass artists out there.

  • Been to all those places. Going way back for teen clubs how about the Beat Club on Bird Rd and 98 Ave. I saw Run DMC, Lime, and Expose among others in that club.

  • @khwarriors I use to go to the beat club also on bird road. Saw Run DMC , Ultimate MC's , Roxanne , UTFO and all the others. Break dancing and close up stage. After the beat club I started going to castle park where break dancing was on friday or saturday nights. I even have a photo of club randolphs and some people who frequented there :).

  • Oye eric1one2003 the club in the bakery centre was parallel bar! I am the man and I use to go to nepanthas in fort lauderdale in 83-84....

  • i remember when rhythym 98 was THE station to listen to in miami. club manhattan was a club in south miami across from univ. of miami. 98 played EVERYTHING: double duece, prime choice, dynamix II, etc. all the old school miami hip hop...thanks for paving the way. "the only city not ran by run"!!!!

  • lol I remember going with a friend to breezy B house back when he was going to perform at club 1235 on south beach a long time ago so we could get i free lol. I think he lived in Ft Lauderdale. Been so long I forget. Clubs in Miami club 1235, Cameo, Randolphs, Madi gras, sneakers, skylights( I forgot the rest).There was a club in the bakery center in south miami also

  • Wow....I used to be the DJ at Rollaway Skateway in Dave for like 10 years and I remember playing this at the rink. We used to hangout and I would go with him to shows all over South Florida. Great guy. Too bad we lost touch. I also remember Nephante, Backstreets, Spinners which I was the DJ at as well as Galaxy. Those were the best days for me anyway!
