  • look up David wolf and calcification watch these videos and learn about parasites and calcification. you can fix your problem once you know what is really going on.

  • Yea I don't have any insurance either and it's a stupid thing. This is America and people should be provided with free healthcare. For the pain try smoking a joint or drinking a shot or both. The meds and the doctor visits cost are just silly high.

  • No, you didn't offend me at all. :-)

  • There is no cure, as of yet, for ulcerative colitis, which sucks. There is only treatment, which I can't afford at the moment. Once I get insurance, hopefully I can keep it all under control. Thanks for the tips! :-)

  • ah, colitis really sucks man, I have ulcerative crohns of the colon. this might not help with you, but I tend to find that taking aloe vera capsules helps keep me stable, could try that?

Kinda sucks that there's no cure, I was on prednisalone for 4 years and that was almost as bad as the damn condition. Hope your all better by friday :D

  • Yeah, it sucks when I have a flare up. UC and Crohns have almost the same symptoms, but I've heard that treatment is different. I'll look into the aloe vera capsules though. It wont hurt to check it out!

I was on Prednisone for a few months after I got out of the hospital, and it messed me up badly. I gained 50 pounds in a little over a month!

    Thanks! :-)

  • yeah, the stuff sucks, same drug different brand name. I gained about 30 pounds myself, although it was all water retention weight pretty much.

best of luck with it all the same :)

  • In Holland everyone should have a health insurance cause it's regulated by law...

Some peeps don't wanna or can't pay it but after a while they get a big fine for every month they didn't had insurance,.

Bit of an opposite of america...

You regret it you didn't take a insurance years ago now it's messed up?

    Friendly Greetings Menno.

  • Wow, that would suck to be stuck with a fine for not having insurance. Well, I haven't been able to afford any kind of insurance. It's quite expensive here to us poor folks. :-)

  • the problem is your back. the nerve to your leg is impaired at the L-5 vertabra. treat it like a low back injury .(ice or warm compresses to the low back) soaksin bathtub .keep good body alinghnment

  • I wish it was my back, because then I could go to the chiropractor. I used to go all the time. But, in this case, my joints are inflaming. It starts in one joint, and moves from joint to joint. I've got ulcerative colitis, and that could lead into rheumatoid arthritis. My doctor told me that it's a possibility, and I'll have to go to a specialist to find out.

  • oh you poor thing :( i wish i knew something that would help.. hm.

  • Insurance would help a lot, and I will have it soon after my girlfriend and I "tie the knot" next Friday! :-)

  • right! you tweeted that! congrats :D

  • Thanks! :-)

  • Having no insurance with problems like yours is expensive! You can't ignore it. I wish it was that simple. Epson salt, with hot water works my grandparents say. They live by it. I think it would work actually. I hope this works, or something..

  • Yes, it can get expensive! Yeah, I used some Epsom salt and it seemed to help quite a bit. I can actually walk today, but now my left shoulder is killing me. I'm falling apart! My girlfriend and I are "tying the knot" next Friday. I'll be able to get added to her insurance then. People are going to think that's the reason we're getting married. LOL

  • I wish I had some advice for you that would help.

  • I think my best option is to go to a specialist and find out for sure if I have rheumatoid arthritis, then find out my options. I sure hope I don't have it. I'll have to look forward to a lifetime of pain, along with my lifetime of having ulcerative colitis! Wow, I'm definitely not "Lucky"! LOL

  • man, I feel so sorry for you... I wish there was something I could do...

Lying on the couch, crying about your foot, you still manage to make me Laugh! x3

  • LOL - That's good to know.

  • Yes, that would be nice! He actually said they can't provide it because they can't afford it. We are a small company, and only have about 8 employees. My girlfriend and I are talking about getting married, and I'll be able to get added to her insurance then. :-)

  • I would actually recommend going to a massage therapist. Their is a particular kind of massage called "Rolfing" that is fantastic. Massage can help your bones and skeleton work better together (if that makes any sense). AND they won't give you pain pills, but they can recommend supplements.

Soaking and rest are probably best for now. But it sounds like you need something to help "fix" what is going on. Hope you feel better soon :)

  • Interesting...I might check into that. I could use a good massage about now!

Yeah, my girlfriend's mom has RA and she told me to stay off of my foot so the swelling will go down. Her doctor has her going to the chiropractor for her RA, but hers is bad and affects her whole body. I'm gonna try to do what I can so I don't turn out like that.

Thanks! I hope so too! :-)

  • how much is health insurance in america?

  • I good insurance plan would cost me about $90 a month, which I could afford, but I'd be broke all the time!

  • thats about £50 i think. in the uk we have the nhs which everyone pays for in their tax. thats socialism and is seen by americans as being an evil invention. we see it more like looking after each other lol

  • One of my aunts has very bad RA i have it as well but not to the crippling point, but next time i see her i'll ask what she uses.

  • My girlfriend's mom has RA too, and she told me to stay off my foot completely. I've been trying to, but it's kind of hard to stay off of it hen I have to go to the bathroom! Haha

    Thanks, I'd appreciate it!

  • 1 word, dude...BOOZE! and lots of it! No beer or anything. You need whiskey or vodka or something like that

  • I would say you're right, but that would really be bad for my ulcerative colitis right now!

  • dude...you have to choose one or the other man. That's what life is about, tough choices

  • That's right.

    I recommend tequila.

  • Y'all are tryin to kill a honkey! LOL

  • or a gallon of Keiths

  • Yes, epsom salt would help some (it can't hurt any). I used to soak my feet with that when I used to waitress, and it helped. Another home remedy thing my Dad used to do (before he was fully diagnosed with RA) was put a bar of soap under his bed sheet. I never understood how it was supposed to help, but I've read about others doing it too for joint pain. For something over the counter (since you cannot use NSAID) I recommend Tylenol Arthritis (or anything else with acetaminophen). Get well soon!

  • I soaked my foot in some epsom salt water earlier, and the swelling has gone down some. I've never heard of the bar of soap thing, but I'll look into that. I've been taking Tylenol for the past couple days, and it seems to help the pain a little. Thanks for the tips! :-)

  • lol if i couldnt walk on my foot everyone would be hearin about it cuz im a giant pussy. wish i had some advice for ya, but unfortunately im not that smart. hope it gets better soon tho.

  • LOL - I'm the same way. I've been whining about it all day. Thanks!

  • I'm not sure about your foot but I know for arthritis my dad takes naproxen, I'm pretty sure it can be bought without a script but Aleve is a generic naproxen. Don't you guys have a clinic for low income people where you live? They don't charge anything but maybe a few bucks, or one of those walk in "doc-in-a-box"'s?

  • I'm not supposed to take any N-SAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), because I have ulcerative colitis. There is, however, a drug called sulfasalazine that I probably should be on that is used to treat both ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis. I'm not sure if we have a low income clinic around here. I've tried looking into it, but haven't have any luck.

  • Hope you feel better soon! :-)

  • Thanks! :-)

  • OH NO! R.A. is painful!

It feels like a broken bone at times.

Why can't you get free insurance.

People on welfare get it for free.

That's not fair to the people who work their asses off.

    Mooz

  • Whatever I have, it is definitely painful! I was almost in tears last night. Yeah, it's really not fair. I mentioned something to my girlfriend about getting married so I can get added to her insurance, since my work doesn't offer it. It would only cost like $25 to go make it legal. We've been together for 6 years, so it's like we're married anyway! :-)

  • Or you can apply for "domestic Partnership"

if they have it in your state.

    Mooz

  • I take glucosamine with MSM and I can really tell a difference. Once in a while I do have to get injections in my knees. I too have no insurance so I always have to charge it on plastic.

  • You're the second person who has mentioned glucosamine. I'll definitely have to check it out. Thanks for the tip!

  • fix your diet and start exercising. you dont think you can because the medical industrial complex has manipulated you into thinking you cant.

glucosamine and chondrotin are excellent OTC herbal supplements for osteoarthritis. i take them for joint pain from my yoga. they fucking work. of course you should not get these for $3 from walmart.

  • all this about big bucks to see doctors and pain pills...man there is another way....

    nutritionfocus(dotty)org

i wont bug you about this again if you dont want.

i know many ppl with messed up health problems who do yoga right next to me. women giving birth within the week too.

those drs have done a great job of helping you it seems...why are you in such a hurry to go back?

  • those supplements are rec'd for ppl w osteoarthritis, but that doesnt mean that they only help ppl w that. i dont have arthritis yet and they help me. no side effects either. did you hear me? i havent had ANY side effects.

  • Thanks for the tips! I don't really believe in pain pills and all of this medication either, but I just want to go so I can get a quick temporary relief for the pain. I'll definitely check out that website. :-)
