@Kinkycurlyhair - You could try as long as it had a moderately hot setting. Also leave the cap slightly ajar so it doesn't get too much condensation mixing back into the extract (excess water = potential mold!).
u sound like u really know what ur doing... i want to make a HERB EXTRACT for my hair products because i really love organic and NO CHEMCIALS HARMING ME but i cant use oil and i cant use alchohol and i cant use vinegar in my hair products well i can use oil but i need not to because i cant have a whole product made up of oil but i wanted to try using honey someone said something about it but i have no idea how i wud use honey to make it ....any ideas?
My mom used this herb on me when I was a child and had two very badly skinned knees I could not walk for weeks and this herb helped my wounds heal faster. She would make a tea out of it and wash my knees and leave hot compress soaked with arnica. I to this day use it. I'm actually gonna use it on my surgery I had on my foot for the swelling.
Hello Dianna, I came across your video and I am really intrigued by this process of extracting the medicinal qualities of flowers and herbs. I have been struggling with arthritis and have found arnica growing in my remote area of the rockies. Was hoping I could make this myself? Any tips on making my own home grown concoction for this pain I am experiencing? Thank you for any help you may offer.
Dear Erickasmg, Thank you for your inquiry. Arnica can be taken internally in aqueous or alcohol extracted forms. This generally is a weak extraction of the active components. Arnica is by its nature a blood thinner so that is why there are so many concerns about over doing it. If you want to make your own Arnica oil infusion you can use any unscented vegetable oil, but again this is for topical use only. - Dianna Dapkins
I have a question Regarding Drinking ARNICA. My family has been drinking Arnica Tea for decades. Is this safe? I researched Arnica a bit, and everywhere I look people say it is not for drinking???
Also regarding making Arnica oil? Can any oil be used? Like maybe vegetable oil?
Thank You for posting this video!!!
