In my opinion, his beliefs are very sound - and I agree with many of them. I actually do not regard the bible as the word of a supposed god, but rather a code of living believed to be the word of the aforementioned god that was written by man.. Meaning it cannot be trusted. This goes for all organized religions - and in all honesty in general whether a god exists or not is irrelevent to what is. What can be said however is that the final answer is not empirical and so we will ---

A friend of mine Lenard recently passed away at the age of 95 roughly the same age as Bertrand. He was also a very brilliant man. He was a electrical engineer for Grumman and designed electrical system for the fighter plane like the F-16 and many others. I would sit down and talk with Lenard and his take on GOD and religion. I actually do not regard the bible as the word of a supposed god, but rather a code of living believed to be the word of the aforementioned god that was written by man.. Meaning it cannot be trusted. A friend of mine Lenard recently passed away at the age of 95 roughly the same age as Bertrand. He was also a very brilliant man. He was a electrical engineer for Grumman and designed electrical system for the fighter plane like the F-16 and many others. I would sit down and talk with Lenard and his take on GOD and religion. It was totally opposite of what this gentleman says. Because this man is a intellect in one thing doesn't means he know anything about GOD. There is a GOD don't be fooled..

Russell wrote on mathematics, logic, ethics, science, marriage, politics, civil rights, atheism & more. He was involved in the movement agaisnt nuclear weapons & opposition to the vietnam war. Polymaths of the past like, Aristole, Galton, Da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin if born today would probably devoted their lives to just 1 thing.
