iam nokia 5800 user ive been using it 2 years since 2009 i think and this touch screen phone is fantastic i remember i drop it about 20 times drown in the water but nothing happen and nothing change :))) buy one but this is not latest anymore i recommend you to buy window phone 7!!!

I had the 5800 for about a year and overall loved it. But....it's no iPhone which I now have and there's really no comparison. The 5800 is slow and glitchy and the iPhone is far more intuitive. If people could just be at peace with the fact that the iPhone is the best smartphone out there. But there are "fanboys" for every platform, but having checked out the Evo, Droid X, & Droid Incredible, they are all just pretenders to the throne. The iPhone is the balls.

He could perhaps try restoring his phone to a previous version, or maybe a newer version. Version 40.005 was released not long ago. . . Your friend probably just had a dodgy phone. This is the best phone Ive ever head...and the sound quallity is amazing..you need to use ear buds though...and put the stereo widening in and use the bass boost setting...its the best thing Ive ever heard, be careful though, you could easily damage your hearing..with the ea buds it goes soo loud and soo bassey

I go to applications, then locations, the GPS date, navigation, tap destination coordinates. But it give me lattitude. But when i try to enter those numbers there is dots in the wrong place and commors in the wrong place. I know im being really silly, but im new to this and cant find anything anywhere to help. You can alter your "notation preferences" by going into Location - Positioning - Notation preferences - Coordinate format. Adjust the notation to the format you desire. Then go into Location - GPS data - Navigation - Options - Set destination and enter the location you want to go to. Set destination - Coordinates - Latitude - enter coordinates making sure you change from North to South if you need to (depending on hemisphere). After hitting OK, you will do the same with Longitude.

Looks to me like you need to press the touch screen a lot harder than on other touch screen phones (ie iPhone) I don't own an iPhone but I've used one and I must say, while I wouldn't buy one the touch screen works really well.

Yeah its true, the difference betwen iphone screen and nokia screen is that first ( iphone ) has a Capacitive Screen ( only react with the body static charge ) the nokia has a Resistive Screen, and I really preffer that last because one has the sensation of touching something , anyway, two phones are great each one in differents things, Search Wikipedia about Resistive and Capacitive Screen, best rigards and sorry about my english but i dont speak and write very well.

Trouble is, it does look slow and the demo shows the guy having to press the screen very hard with fingertips only. This could become extremely irritating. Should be called Nokia's new PRESS screen.
