  • i attended this game, i am 103 years old (this sentence took me 39 minutes to type) * i have arthritiis

  • Kickers' worst nightmare. None of the kickers could kick the ball straight-legged.

  • My parents, who were both students at Ohio State at the time, were at this game. They had just been married two months, and they walked from their High Street apartment in the Clintonville area to the game. Mom said she wore multiple layers of clothing to withstand the cold temperature. Dad was one of the guys who came down to the field before the game started to pull off the tarps. I must have asked him about this game 100 times over the years.

  • The prima donnas that run things in this country today would have postponed the game.

  • This old style offensive plays are really cool, deffinetly need to bring it back

  • I am an osu fan but this has to be the best football freaking game of the 20th century

  • hahahah on the kick return a guy jumps like "I dont know where you are but im gonna hit something"

  • The one guy who gave the 'thumbs down' must have been a hard core OSU fan, that was at the game !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @basel1961 I gather that you've implied I'm a Michigan fan, which I'm not ... I don't know why you felt the need to take a shot at me for relaying my observation based upon personal experience.

  • I'm a California Guy and in my life I have met quite a few Michigan & Ohio State Alums/Fans. I can say bar-none that the classier, more intelligent and overall better people tend to be MICHIGAN WOLVERINES.

  • @AnthonyAdornettoCom - There's nothing like making sweeping, ignorance-based generalizations about literally millions of people to make one feel superior. Care for me to make a few about people from California?

Nah, I won't do that because it would be blindingly illogical and just plain ignorant. I was just making a point, one that I have no confidence that someone like you will understand.

  • @grant135b I never made sweeping generalizations about millions, just relaying an observation about those I've met. You've misinterpreted my comment... I can presume you're a Buckeye (or fan), and I'll just go ahead and add you to the list of those I'm not so fond of.

  • @AnthonyAdornettoCom - I'm a California guy too. And it's easy to see from here just how classy (really just insecure) you are. I guess when you get whipped yet again on the football field, you'll like those Buckeyes even less.

  • wow i think like out of 50 punts 49 were blocked or shanked LOL!!

  • Thanks for finding the great footage.

Funny thing is that losing this game was the best thing that ever happened to the buckeyes because it lead to the hiring of woody hayes

  • Amazing to see footage from this era :)

  • I didn't know the field use to have a track around it.

  • This was at Ohio Stadium

  • I am about 99% sometime in the next decade "the game" is going to have weather like that because of it moving up a week.

  • well with global warming these days...

  • @InRichRodWeTrust I doubt that

98% of deep snows happen after Dec 25th, especially in Jan-Feb.

Regular season games would have a once every 90 years or so chance of a "SNOW BOWL".

Add that most really heavy down falls occur from 6pm until 9am and not in the noon to 6pm window makes it unlikely a blinding white blizzard game will be played.

There are reasons why few BOWL GAMES played in Jan. are blizzard bowls. The averages just are not high for such daytime events.

  • Its snowing pretty damn hard right know in the Midwest and what time is it, noon, but my statement really wasn't worth analyzing

  • @InRichRodWeTrust

this guy must me a meterologist.

  • @Brewhaman

    or one of pool1dan's relatives.

  • @InRichRodWeTrust

LOL, quite possible w/all the ANALyzing.

  • I was born Nov 22nd that year - this is the day I was brought home from the hospital :-D

  • the was a record setting 45 punts in this game

  • Jump pass at around 2:03 is just classic!

  • Awesome find, great video.

  • What's with he quick kicks? Off the first plays.

  • @DeadEyeXA

LOL, they took being conservative to new heights.

  • this was hillarious can you imagine. What a find WH.

  • Anyone who attended that game is a fucking hero.

  • Or played in it!

  • @Cromulus420 way to (NOT)class it up with a f-bomb

  • @indyfan22k it's just a word. Get over it.

  • AMAZING!

  • This was OSU's last game before they hired Woody Hayes.
