  • Break your heart that would...beautiful work however!

  • Look at the video just before impact. Ailerons are deflected the wrong way......:)

  • titanic...................................

  • thats wen you just have to say, The day is lost...

  • @delta757200 yes p-factor (decending propeller blade having more thrust than the assending) along with engine tourqe (turning crankshaft), spiriling slipstream (acts on the rudder) and gyroscopic presesion all cause a left turning tendency.

I just ordered the plans for the 71" Albatross and am looking forward to building it. Any tips towards building it?

  • ok now to the video. i see what looks like the correct aileron deflection at the moment of impact. That may be from the crash.ddint see any rudder movement on take off. what i see is induced thrust from the left engine, since the right engine started before the left and sounds like brushless. both motors need the same thrust to keep the heading. also you may want to counter rotate the props to stop the so called "p" effect. yes the direction may have an effect.

  • Get it flying again and use the same music ,for the success of your efforts.

  • The Video is cool, and keep the music.Take it from this sixty year old. The other 60 year old sucks. i saw these when i was in. They are one of the great planes from our country.

  • The video is cool, but that music has got to go! Take it from a sixty year old, it sucks!

  • maybe reversed ailerons?.....

  • Use ruder when taking off to counter act P effect this is a classic result when using aleirons to correct wings attitude . power is right . one clic down for elevator will correct tail heaviness .

  • p factor will cause a turn to the left i belive

  • Nice video of a sad story.

  • Looks like a classic case of being tail heavy.

  • ......... im sorry man

  • lol i love this so much i was chearing and then i was like .. ohhhh shit no!

  • HAHAHA, lol

learn to fly those things! :P

  • Very sad, but f-ing hilarious as-well.

    Beautiful plane.

  • to be honest, that video like made me feel bad - hahaha great job on detail and the overall look

  • Nice video! lol...

  • Very nice looking plane. Put more power in it on the re-build.

  • to haeavy but the damage looked minimal

  • you obviously didn't spend 600 hours doing that lol more like 100..

  • peccato per l'epilogo :-((

molto bella l'esecuzione del modello e il video.

    ciao

    ruggero

  • nice

  • should have 2 fourstrokes!

    electric sucks in scale models

  • nothing a little duct tape wont fix!

  • jajajajajajjajajajajajjajajajajjajajjajajjajajajajajajjajajajajajajajajjajajaj super chido el video jajajaj me gusto mucho la musica

  • Sorry about the accident it is a very nice plane and I know the feeling it happened to me in my first flight...

I hope you repaired your plane by now because I havent repaired mine

The video and the song are very good but can you help me the title because I cannot find it anywhere ?

  • what a shame. so sorry for your loss. that's a beautifull plane and im looking forward to see it flying again.

    Great movie editing too.

Did you have seperate control for each engine? is that why you couldn't get the wings straight?

  • that suxs 600hrs= 2sec of flight what happend?

great looking model. but its a wierd setup how u can control the engines sepeate?

  • hahahaha you cant skrenut

  • OHHHH the PAIN!! Scratch Built!! Been there!!

  • Thanks guys! I'll probably repair her next spring/summer. I'll be sure to beef up the power setup and try not to have dumb thumbs again! :) -stef

  • I too, followed your thread on RCgroups. Yes it is a passion. I was hoping to see your plane fly but not like this. It seems worse than loosing a family pet. My seawind did that 4 times in a row before I permantly retired it.

  • I`ve followed your build on rcgroups and i must say this is one of the best airplanes i have ever seen!! Having had not so much luck with maidens myselfe i wince everytime i see yours! I truy hope you get the time soon to rebuild an dget her in the air !!

    Regards

    Phillip

  • nice plane ive been lookin for one wered you get it

  • Thanks, I designed and built it from scratch :) -stef

  • shame to see that beautiful plane crash, but i had to laugh when u played the music with sped up footage to go and retrieve it

  • It's a shame that it didn't really get off the water for very long :/ My sympathies!

  • Come un angelo con le ali nuove, qualcosa di bellezza cosí squisita deve volare ancora! (translation compliments of Babelfish, so apologies for any bad grammar). It was an honor to witness the maiden voyage, regardless of its brevity and outcome.

  • Great video Stefano! Too bad for the plane. It will require some additional love to fly again.

    Babbo

  • Nice editing, and good choice of music. Thanks for using my shakey footage! I think you may have forgotten my dad in the rescue credits, but he might have wanted to be unmentioned.

  • hi stef i'm zaid! you were very unlucky! waiting for a newer one! Say hi to cristina! bye!
