@awollangk I don't think you fully understand the situation we have going on right now up in the AZ. Crime rates are down, but illegal immigrants are now the cause of most crimes. This law goes into effect to effectively end this situation, or at least try to end it. If a few people have to be bothered in the effort to help the community at large, so be it. All they have to do is prove their citizenship. It's sad that it had to come to this, but that's how it will have to be.

In Arizona, the illegal immigrants are mostly from Mexico, so it makes sense that if you pull over a speeder that has those racial traits, you'd ask for documentation. Profiling has gotten such a bad rap in the media, that everyone thinks this is evil. They aren't going to randomly grab people. They'd have to vastly increase the numbers of officers on patrol for that.

They can only ask for ID for very legitimate reasons, like felonies or something. @scootsie119 I'm in no way in a party. I have a very liberal view point, but I don't agree with parties. Parties fuck everything up. You should vote on what's going to better your country, not because you want one party in over another.
