Actually, Plant's strongest performances of this song occur between 1994 and 1996. Good stuff. Then again, other than the '73 and '75 vocal performances, I don't think I've ever not enjoyed whatever interpretation he brought to the song at any point in his career, even now.
@SharingonMadara Maybe true, but this guy is the best replacing drummer for Led Zep i've heard. Maybe he should've tried another snaredrum, cuz i think that's what spoils it a little.
Wow! This kicks ass on the Zeppelin reunion. Plant's voice is in almost full 1972 form here. I'm very jealous of anyone who was in attendance that night!
He apparantly had an epilectic seizure, although I dont believe he had a history of epilepsy. I just found out, very sad, very passionate musician. R.I.P. ML
How come Plant here sings it in the higher register (that of the record) yet sings it lower as far back as 1973? It's a fucking killer when he sings it the higher way...unstoppable.
scarface is right. and he got tons of flus. also he developed vocal polyps/nodules, so it hurt him to sing higher in 73-80. freddie mercury also had polyps
Damn Plant, you are the king, fuck all crap ..........

He has 60 right now. So, when it was this concert he had 50, he had an excellent voice for his age.

It because he lost the high notes after 1972 because he smoke, drank, and got many colds

This is a fantastic performance -- thanks so much for sharing it!
Excellent quality in the way it was shot too. I wonder if there's a DVD of the full performance knocking around out there in the cosmos...
