Some of them are people who are socially/politically active, and others are simply people who make him go "Hmm...I want to to know more about this person." Walken is crazy enough to fit into the latter group.

In alot of his interviews Henry Rollins seems to genuinely represent the excited respectful fan that finally gets to meet this person. Though not always perfect it's quite refreshing to see someone genuinely excited (and nervous) rather than an 'interviewing as a day job' type situtation

I know what you mean, but this is henry's way of staying in entertainment in the most legitimate way possible, I think. He does a great job of asking very meaningful questions and having only talented guests on his show. It is a far cry from him selling out and hosting TRL or his own SASSY MTV reality show, or some bullshit like that.
