1. God created us on His own image, yet everyone on Earth is different from everyone else save identical twins. This must mean that there's a deeper meaning to "made on His own image".

One book 'Tango Makes Three' does so little to remedy the harm that anti-GLBT groups have made in making "gay," "homo," and "fag" a measure of hate-speech.

It's a book, people. I'll be one of the first to say that real parenting begins in the home, but this is merely one book that offers a different viewpoint.

If you're opposed to this book, I hope that you're also opposed to any book featuring ethnic families other than your own just so we can be sure you're an absolute bigot.

Also, regardless of how anyone raises their children, teen sex in general is a common occurence, as evident by the number of teen pregnancies. Therefore, the best a parent can do is educate their children. Realistically, we were all teenagers once, and were hard-headed. So if a teen is determined to experiment, they will, with or without permission. Better to have them educated, sexually safe and child-free, than naive, rittled with disease and a much too young parent.

I heard the recordings, and this sounds like a group discussion. Nothing is being forced down anyone's throat and there is no 'agenda.' I also wonder where the real evidence is that supports the claim of 14-year olds in the audience. Furthermore, S&M does not go hand-in-hand with homosexuality. S&M is a separate lifestyle in itself and its participants include homosexuals and heterosexuals as well as bisexuals. S&M is not for everyone, just like homosexuality is not, neither is heterosexuality.

It is interesting that they teach the kids they were created from slime, and descendants of apes and monkey's. Prayer to Jesus, or God the Father, are not acceptable. No religion classes, even though this is a majority Christian nation. And now forced displaying of gay.

Don't they know that 10% of gay men have AIDS, and most gays have an STD?

To me, this is about learning dignity and respect, not about sexual activity. There are very young kids who are calling others "faggot" and "homo", and they don't know what the words mean, but they think that those words are meant to make fun of others, and they think it's fine to do this. It's not fine to make fun of others or to bully others with anti-gay slurs or any kind of slurs. Whether you like it or not, LGBT people, parents and children exist, and we deserve the same respect.

voteyesonquestion1, I know a straight parent of two children who live in Alameda and attend its schools, and she and her husband are wholeheartedly for it. This is about treating others with dignity and respect and stopping anti-gay harassment and bullying. LGBT people, parents and children exist in our world, and to fight the effort to stop anti-gay bullying by purporting fear towards and dehumanization on gay people makes me wonder if some people want LGBT kids and parents to be hurt.

Pastor Evans: Every child must attend school throughout the month of February (Black History Month) and that is funded. Should we all have a vote to banish this? And of course in elementary school this should be taught, once children reach middle and high, they are not into being taught such compassion.
