there is an easy book that taught me how to read music in a couple of hours. its called "learn to read music" by howard shanet. its an old book it was very clear and thorough, just a bit old fashioned language though haha

lol i dont quite understand what you mean when you say "12 times up and downs to learn" so...all i can say is the book explains very well and gives excellent examples plus easy yet effective exercises.
