  • so... where was the monster? all i saw were people and a big machine.

  • fantastic old horror movie!

  • I`m sorry that I did not see your comment until today. TCM showed it last night at 11:00 PM EST. I hope you were able to watch it. Lorraine

  • TCM will air THE MAGNETIC MONSTER on June 30, 2011. Lorraine

  • @Gemini730: That's today!! Do you happen to know what time it will be playing?

  • Yes, you can get this movie and not have to abase yourself to United Artists or anyone else. I just purchased mine at Monsters in Motion website . Now, I just wished that M in M had other great movies, like Terror from the Year 5000. :)

  • "Came Alive!"??? When we finally see the monster, it looks suspiciously like Loudspeaker Cornstarch. So many decades ago, were B-movie special effects wizards keeping secret their discovery of "living" vibrating nonNewtonian fluids? We're just lucky they didn't decide decide to bombard it with Alpha particles.

  • It is on DVD.

  • I used to watch this on CREATURE FEATURES. One of the most underrated science fictions ever made! Anyone wanna petition United Artists to get this on DVD? I'll take this over AVATAR, thank you!

  • good trailer, watch this movie on veoh!

  • I had an uncle who looked exactly like King Donovan. This is a wonderful picture that they built around footage from a German picture called "Gold". Richard Carlson was in every other sci-fi picture of the 1950s--and he was always good.

  • Pretty much everybody has an uncle who looked like King Donovan! Glasses, hairline, weak chin ... or am I thinking of my aunt?

  • Fantastic! I remember watching this as a kid and having my pants scared off! I've been trying to get this one for my classic movie collection. do you know where i can buy it?

  • WOW!! THANKS!!! I remember going to see this at a Los Angeles movie theater back in the 1950s and never forgot the ending. Sheeze --- I WISH I COULD SEE THE GERMAN MOVIE, 'GOLD', FROM WHICH THAT GREAT FOOTAGE WAS TAKEN! Again, many thanks!!

  • THANKS FOR POSTING!!! I remember seeing this on same Sci-Fi show in the late '60s and wonder why it is such a hard flick to find. Was it ever played on the Sci-Fi channel or other network recently?
