@biofan09 The blood ravens know VERY little of their own origins. The Unknown primarch was the "primarch" or possibly the original Chapter master, But they don't know who it was referring to him as "the unknown primarch" who watches over every crusade involving the blood ravens. Hope that helps :)

i fell in love with the game. Thule struck me as a really badass leader. I actually feared the attack an their stronghold because of him and his speech.

Winter Assault was an Eldar win. Only the Eldar win results in both Taldeer and Gorgutz surviving to appear in Dark Crusade.

Dark Crusade was won by the Space Marines, as evidenced in Dawn of War 2.

Dawn of War 2 also reveals that the Blood Ravens were defeated in Soulstorm, with very heavy losses.

Considering the value the Blood Ravens place on knowledge, on studying their enemy, and their very high number of Librarians, I would say they are descended from the Thousand Sons.

At the end of Dark Crusade, if playing as Space Marines, the player sees Inquisitor Toth questioning the Blood Ravens for their actions on Kronus.

It was this intro, as seen in the free demo, that made me buy Dark Crusade. From then on, i was hooked. The storyline is compelling, the narrators made you feel like you were part of the campaign, and fantasy was much nobler than reality.

Unfortunately, Soulstorm lacks some of the dialogue and plot that made Dark Crusade so great. However, I'm still a die-hard fan of Warhammer 40K.

The Blood Ravens are a successor chapter, they have no primarch. As for what first founding chapter they are founded from, there has been no conclusive answer. The Standing rumor is that they are founded from the Thousand Sons gene seed. Like I said, standing rumor.

Seeing as they know little about their past I'd imagine they were a first founding chapter from one of the primarchs that were wiped from records. I can't recall ever hearing of them until the DoW games so it seems odd they'd be a second founding chapter.

As i have 5,000 points of blood angels, Heed my words. the supposed link with the blood angels or the raven guard is nigh impossible. with Blood Angels it is due to the fact that the Blood Ravens have absolutely none of the special units. No Furioso Dreadnoughts, no Sanguinary High Priests, nothing. The only possibility would be a Soul Drinkers successor. Most popular theory is they are Thousand Sons loyalist. I worry that "Rogal's Fist" in Soulstorm was an overstated hint though..

the space marines are the elite, the guard number in billions and than there are many imperial guard leigons aswell, they are just normal soldiers like todays, ready to defend their planets, their race. But space marines are elite. Their numbers are small, but they have two hearts, can spit out acid and more. They are warriors of mankind. They are usually first to attack the enemy, with guard just as backup, and also the guard usually gets given the "easier" tasks with space marines fightn hell
