Research, w/ worldwide feedback, says that the more a person invests in an MLM the more they lose – which is true of any scam. Committed MLM participants may invest thousands, and even tens of thousands of dollars, over years before running out of cash or giving up. In legitimate companies, sales reps are not asked to buy inventory or monthly purchases. But in MLM, incentivized purchases are merely disguised or laundered investments in a product-based pyramid scheme.
heres the truth. all this stuff they say about corporate america is also true. but real businesses sell products. MLM only tries to recruit people to make money. the product is there to make it legal. that really is true for 99 percent of the companies.
nice video..i understand mlm businesses, so sad many people call them pyramid schemes, i think people that calls them pyramid scheme are just failures. and true we already live in a pyramid scheme call U.S.A, people just cant see it...who's to fault?...Corporate America...

Turning it upside down does notmake it a tree - it makes it an upside down pyramid.
Trees naturally and do not require other trees to create a government to chip in and pay for sunlight to develop new branches - they compete for it, even with their offspring. They also can't acquire other trees with the intent of killing them. Not saying they wouldn't want to, but it's not exactly natural.
"Turning it upside down does notmake it a tree - it makes it an upside down pyramid."
-- Why don't other people realize this?
It just seems that the only reason pyramid schemes work is because there is an endless supply of idiots that don't grasp the concept of a pyramid scheme...
Also in MLM, distributors who do join are always told to recruit or buy into the products whether they like them or not. And that's how money is made for the Uplines and yourself. In a regular company, I don't care about my downline or employees. They can leave I get an agent to hire another one. I lose nothing in cost. Plus there is an issue of accountability. If I commit fraud, I could be fired or punished in an MLM. So sad too bad.
True. A true MLM running company will have good products and a good leader. I ended up with pushy people, overhead, leaders who do a sell or die attitude. Avon survived for so long. Many legitimate companies, where I am hired to be senior or junior employee without investment. MLM requires investment.
Look if you wanna proof to people that MLM is not a pyramid scheme then you don't need to replace the pyramid diagram with some kinda weird tree diagram (that to most people still looks the same). All you would have to do is to just say that your company is making its money by selling its products to the end user instead of making money by getting more people in (and selling the product to them).
For all those haters that have it against MLM companies draw this. Look at your company how many CEO's are (1) and then go down from there level by level From CEO's down to regular starter employees and dont tell me that doesnt make a pyramid.

@fsmaury: Yes you can also draw the hierarchical structure of a regular company in a pyramid shape. Like at the top is the boss and he makes the most money and at the bottom are like the factory workers. But that's not the definition of a pyramid scheme. The difference is that as long as people buy their products this regular type of company can go on forever because they make their money by selling to the end user. A pyramid scheme however doesn't focus on the end user and is not sustainable.
ROFLMFAO hahahaha This is some of the stupidest shit I have ever seen lol hahahahah I hope you fucking ladies die a horrible death you fucking scam artists lol. You are just not talant twats who can't make it at a real job where god forbid you would have to ....uh WORK hahahahaha You suck at life just admit it. That tree made no fucking sense hahahahaha OMG thank you for this I am grateful to be me today hahahahahahaha
Well, I only put in $500 but that was about 5 years ago. I'm pissed that some person got my number and made me look at some video called VOIPARTY!! I was hoping someone else would call but it was AN MLM PUNK!!!! AND I WAS PISSED. SO I'M NOT MAD AT GETTING BURNED A FEW YEARS AGO. I LEARNED MY LESSON. IT'S THAT PUNK THAT CALLED ME TO JOIN ANOTHER ONE WHEN I WAS EXPECTING SOMEONE ELSE TO CALL ME TWO WEEKS AGO!!!!!!!
Isn't that tree just like turning the pyramid upside down? I think legit mlm or networking marking is indeed a pyamid structure but NOT a pyarmid scheme. It's pyamid business model as far as I can tell. Turn the tree upside down and it's a pyamid. I'm not saying it's a scheme though.
1. Tress can not get as big as they want. The stop growing at some point and eventually die.
2. How do you figure a store such as Albertsons is a pyramid? ! By no means do they structure their business as MLM and such slander is poposterous.
3. Integrity, honesty, and value. Just because you have morals doesn't mean you have a good product. I'm sure the person who designed my Daewoo was full of those chararistics but he still made a piece of crap.
its nice to see open minded intelligent people who have common sense. anyone who thinks network marketing is a pyramid scheme is just an idiot. anyone who feels its better to be a slave to a company for 30, 40, 50 years and never go in to business for themselves... again an idiot.
A branch is always going to be thickest where it connects to the trunk. Therefore the base of a branch does limit the branches that come off of itself.
You will never see a big branch grow off a twig.
If the branch below you falls off, your branch will also be taken away.
"As big as you can dream" - except you will never be a tree yourself.
If you have to recruit your friends and neighbors to be distributors so that you can make money, then you have a pyramid scheme (PS). If only the people at the bottom of the tree or at the top of the pyramid make money, then you have a PS. And if the products are outrageously priced to support the cost of many levels of downlines and uplines, then it is a PS. And ladies if you were making big money, your graphics would be better than a dry erase board. TeamRobot &mpatterson67 are right!
"If you have to recruit your friends and neighbors to be distributors so that you can make money, then you have a pyramid scheme"
Actually, you are wrong. Even by OFFICIAL definition, a distinction is made between legit MLM as a means of product/service distrabution using distributers and illegal (PS).
In legit MLM, people make money by their ability to market and create their own clinet base, regardless of structural position.
Great video! I have been educating myself on Internet Marketing for about six months now, and if I should give any advice to other newbies, it would be to take small steps in the beginning, then it won't hurt as much when you fall. I promise that you will fall from time to time, just don't give up when it happens. I burned out for two months and that was two months of my life gone, so I learned that lesson the hard way. I enjoy learning about IM, it is fun and rewarding.

I won't remove any comments that are negative, just because they are negative.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But don't be naive enough to believe you can do this with no real skills!!
Marketing, communication, creativity, individuality, creation of web pages are all skills needed and obtained before anyone is successful at this.
