When the people accuse GaGa she were 'stolen" somebody's style, that's always only so stupid and mean, for jealousy. Look, the most viewed video of Phoebe Legere has about 200 000 views. The most viewed video of Gaga has 400 000 000 views: 2 000 times more. What that means, when the people always prizes much more the original than the copies?? That means all accusations against GaGa are fake, nonsense and slander.

I agree with you in the musical aspect. I really liked gaga more in the beginning. I loved the concept of Gaga´s whole image, her robotlike "moves", clothing, vulgur but cool badingsuite-like outfits, the glasses, the "ugly-sexy" playfulness. BUT, I saw this in the phoebe Legere videos, the dolllike moves, look, hair, glasses, the corkiness, the monster, the clothes, the bed with "spark" all over, and I was surprised. Why, did she do a video that is so similar though?

I´m surprised that no one has written anything about the fact that this video is sooooo similar to a new artist today, or should I say, that the artist today is similar to the video and it´s whole concept? LADY GAGA, ripped this right off! She is NOT original, maby smart and has pretty good songs, but a creative "monster"? Sure when you stole the concept, and keeps steeling other peoples concept I guess it´s easy to become famous. OVA´AN OUT!

Ok. The parallels are obvious. Mostly, they are limited to personal style and performance ethos. The musical similarities are pretty tenuous though. I think you've overstated your case. All artistic products have their antecedents. To imply that Lady Gaga is a plagiarist because she is indebted to some of her predecessors is patently absurd. Drink much hater-aid?

I 2 like both musicians I should add. NO hateer-aid, just super dissapointed. By the way, The thing that bugges me most is the "famous foot on the piano" while playing the piano. What would you call that then BON1931? Did she copy it right off Legere? Or did she come up with it herself? Hmmm...

You are right that Stefani Germanotta has patterned herself after Phoebe. I've been a fan of Phoebe's since I first saw her perform in NY 1982. I've seen her live and have most of her recorded work. As soon as I saw Stefani as Lady Gaga I said she looks like Phoebe. I've also seen Stefani before she became Lady Gaga.

i can see how she relates, I hate it when they compare GaGa with Madonna they might be icons of different generations but totally different, but there was this guy on the radio saying that she was the reincarnation of Madonna when she is still alive, what a moron...
