@Bodywrecker you only need hours in-command jet aircraft if you are going to be pilot or commander. Mission specialists and the tourists don't have that requirement.
@Bodywrecker That is only if you want to fly the craft. If you want to be a mission specialist, none of that is needed. However, you do need to have a certain science degree. I hope to be an astronaut one day. I plan on getting there with my degree.
@Bodywrecker Only to be a pilot. You can also be an astronaut by being a mission specialist and never having flown before. You can get there by being a scientist.

My hands immediately started to sweat watching, imagining myself in that scenario. The word epic doesn't do our space program justice lol

WHY IS IT THAT THE CAPSULE VIDEO BEGINS AT 3:55 ? IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FILM THE CREW DURING THE FIRST MOMENTS OF LAUNCH?
khunopie 2 months ago
@khunopie They cut to the crew view once the rocket is too far away to be tracked by the cameras!

Where's the mascot???? I'm really bummed. How could they possibly launch a Soyuz without a mascot? What were they thinking??

Too bad it takes 1000 hours in-command jet aircraft experience to be an astronaut.
