Lahmacun ist nicht türkisch. Wie der Name schon sagt ist es arabisch, also könnt ihr es nicht türkische pizza nennen. Lahm a acun= Fleisch auf Teig. Ihr habt es von den Arabern. Nur das ihr den Teig größer macht.

The word is Arabic but lahmacun in Turkey is very different from what they call "Lahma bi ajin" in Arab countries. The idea of putting a meat filling on a dough base is common from Central Asia through Anatolia and the Mediterranean. It's called pide in some areas, etli ekmek in others, there are more names. All variations on the same theme. But I agree that calling it "Turkish Pizza" is wrong, just like calling pizza "Italian Lahmacun" would be silly. Each is what it is.
