the wiinja team did finally get the dvd9 working with a special layer break. It is in the wiinja forum. It takes a few tries, sometimes only works on bad media, and usually for some reason has a better success rate on high burn speeds. Anyways dvd9 has been confirmed to work.

Is the wiinja bad for your wii? Is there any risk? What's the best mod chip for the wii that doesn't risk brickage?

none. it gets bricked if u update an english wii with a japanese game, or vise virsa. u can use brick blocker to remove the update from the iso before u burn it. if u dont kno wat im talkin about look it up in google

it depends, if its semi-bricked you can just use a game with the latest patch to unbrick it, but if you full-brick it, then you need a new wii lol, chips like wiikey have a region overrride option, if you dont activate it you cant read discs from other regions, so there wouldn't be a chance of bricking it, d2ckey has the same option(but not in a menu, you have to solder some points depending on your region to activate region override)

EVERYBODY WHO HAS A WIKEY AND WANTS BRAWL:

I just played brawl on the Wiikey with latest firmware, sometimes the game froze during gameplay, first I thought it was just random freezes but then I found out it was something else: WATER ATTACKS, Mario's Bdown fludd attack and some of squirtles water attacks make the game freeze.

I haven't found any other bugs yet, but just so you know, watch out with those water moves.
