hello beautiful radio I 's I bought in America and it's coming, I'm cercandi card FM-UNIT-747 to modulate the FM. You have some information or address for me? hello hello to all my friends 73 ' IV3CDB
@fulviotesta Thanks for watching my videos. I no longer have my FT840-- BUT it was a good radio. I gave it to my brother who just got his ham license. The 840 is a GREAT radio!!! Best to you from Huntsville, ALABAMA. 73.
If you first applied about 20w carrier into the tuner, adjust to lowest SWR/MAX power out, then turn your power back up, you won't have to keep fiddling with the knobs while you are talking.
Don't worry. It's not what it appears to be. My display *is* orange NOT green. The low lighting in the radio room and cheap video camera made it appear to be green. Thanks for viewing.
IS there a way to make an FC-20 work with the 847? I picked up an FC-20 at a HAM fest and was just wondeirng. The Pin out seem to match. But I was wondering if there was some sorta mod of some sort that needed to be done.
Not sure. I do have the FC-10 Auto tuner for the FT-840 but seldom use it. I just enjoy manual tuners on older radios. Of course, in the video I could have done a MUCH BETTER job of maximizing the forward needle and the minimizing the reflected one! 73.
I just realized that I had mentioned "FC-20 work with the 847? " What I meant to say was " to get the FC-20 to work with my FT-840" I tried to find an FC-10 but had no luck on ebay. I think you did a great job on the video and I too love my 840 I picked that up at a ham fest as well in mint I mean mint condition. Well thanks for getting back to me. Best wishes! Cheers!
FT-840 is a good radio. I have one, and running barefoot into a G5RV allowed me to have a QSO with a Finnish station from Florida. Pretty cool! This is a good radio for someone just starting out on HF along with the FC-10 tuner. I used the FT-840, FC-10 tuner and a Daiwa cross-needle meter. The FP-1023A is a good to addition if you like to monitor the rig's power draw, enough connections for the rig and the Daiwa meter's lights, and auto-lighter jack for devices that use them.
you know in what clothes shop where you find the card ioposso FM-UNIT-747, hello friend

Thanks. Not sure about being "a natural" as much as it it the joy of talking about something you will enjoy. 73 Wil AI4QT
