  • i love guitar rig 4. but the jump cabinet is kinda disappointing. but the jump amp with everything maxed out sept for master. and a GR3 plex cab. check out my new vids its my setup.

  • WOW! Great tone!

  • Nice one dude, I love this preset also, got GR4 the other day and am LOVING it!

    With a Line 6 Tone-port GX

  • sounds awesome

  • I believe you can plug direct into the input of your soundcard, or get a cheap Behringer USB interface ($30).

I presume you can get feedback if you turn up the monitors on the PC?

  • nice!!

  • Search my site guitarnoize for instructions on recording with amp modelling software

  • great tone!!! i like. is it possible to get the preset/settings ?

  • As it says in the vid info it is just the Guitar Rig 4 "Early Edward" preset.

  • A Simon Dinnigan student eh? Good stuff!

  • yep, long time ago now :)

  • ignore other post....i see which preset ur using!

  • Cool version of this song! Might look at upgrading from GR3 to 4 now...

  • Thanks John, that's a big compliment coming from an EVH expert!

  • Very nice mate! The new Guitar Rig is awesome :) Even the factory presets are usable this time :D!

  • Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I'm just now getting into this stuff and trying to determine the best thing to get. A friend recommended Acid Pro and another recommended Ableton. Man you're sounding good. How about some Fair Warning stuff?

  • Thanks Derryl! I might do some more VH, there' a few of my faves on Fair Warning!

I would just make sure you get something that supports VST plugins so you can use Guitar Rig, Amplitube or GTR3 as a plugin and re-amp or edit effects if you're not happy later on.

  • Wow, that was cool man! The sound is very close. So would you say GTR4 is the best? Also, how would you say Ableton would compare to Acid Pro 7?

  • Yeah that is without any tweaking too, the cool thing about GR4 over the others is that you can tweak the sag and bias of each amp on top of the other parameters, and you can use multiple mics and adjust the volume independently.

I have never used Acid Pro sorry, Ableton is kind of quirky I think I preferred how Cubase works.

  • man try amplitube + audiacity it's crazy

  • I have Amplitube and GTR3 and I use Ableton Live, but I'm really impressed with this new update of Guitar Rig
