Ok ktm for one is all aluminum and chromoly so its super light and the motor is big enough but not so heavy its a dog its a winning competition bike stock the raptor 700 is a dog because its too heavy but stock vs stock 4 stroke to 4 stroke the ktm hands down every time

The built ex would molest a stock one trust me..but with all the up grades the 700r had such as liquid cooled is so much better...that was the worst part about the built ex they get so damn hot! not to mention fuel injection

I agree the yfz is a nice bike and any quad can be made faster but in reality it does take a yfz with pipe, jetting, modded airbox and slight engine work to beat the ktm in stock form atleast from my experience in the dunes. And for how cheap they are selling u cant go wrong with them. I got mine for 7,000 otd and it came with a 1600 dollar free promotion package from ktm.
