  • amazing. i need a time machine

  • OH WOW. This is so unspeakably awesome. Look at Chris go!

  • melodic skatecore

  • Magic. They STILL kick tons of ass. They've grown so much and so well.

  • Someone should remind Chris of Lifetime and maybe Saves The Day will return to this.

Its a shame how this band have moved so far away from their beginnings.

  • @xSteveJx saves the day has done nothing but get better since these days. yes they are way differant, but they have only evolved and progressed in talent. bands are made up of people and people grow and change. as a music fan you have to let the bands you love grow and change. its just the way of life and music. i love all of saves the days stuff, and will continue to love and look forward to them evolving for years to come.

  • @xSteveJx people grow up

  • haha yeah im 25 now and saw em. That gave me goose bumps. I miss the care free days. My biggest worry at the time....."are we gonna get busted for this joint?" haha love the vid

  • i like this song

  • lol called melodic hardcore/pop punk

  • not melodic hardcore. pop punk, yes

  • I guess Ill be the first to post a video response. If you like this, check out my cover of it.

  • Its so great because he looks like just another kid in the audience!

  • its called melodic hardcore

  • GOD...How great they were!!!!

    What happened to emo ?

Or what they called themselves NJ post Hardcore

  • GOOOOOOOD

  • omg this is freaking amazing.

  • MAN, i miss this band...they were a one of kind gem with chris only on the mic...simply amazing.

  • +1 to spiritofjosh

  • hell yeah.. original saves the day.. not the pussy shit they have become today..

  • who remembers sefler!?

  • this video is incredible...please make sure it's never lost or kept in some sort of saves the day archive where it belongs...

  • i think everyone agrees including chris and dave(only original members)that old saves the day was the best, the lyrics still get to me today after graduated two years ago.i stil love chris, but hes getting older so the music is maturing. it gives me goosebumps seeing old std videos, and seeing how much they relate to high school, and how many people look up to them as other kids, not just a huge band. they were truely amazing, nobody like them.

  • Old Saves the Day is my favorite, Cant Slow Down, Im Sorry I'm Leaving and Through Being Cool but there new stuff is good to. Chris is such a good writer i find greatness in everything he does. Stay What You Are and In Reverie are masterpeices. Just not as much as the old stuff imo. Im kinda dissapointed with Sound the Alarm... the music is ok, went back to fast but the lyrics are kinda weak.

  • it's upsetting that my favorite band through highschool went to shit :(

  • this is awesome.

  • the new saves the day is a good band, i have to give them credit, but its completely different from the saves the day i grew up listening to. minor threat drum parts and hc chants- the saves the day that i would throw on a comp with lifetime and kid dynamite. ohgreat24 ^^ you said it well: i guess every person has that one band that they grew up with and went through everything with. saves the day is that band for me.

  • yeah... good times. The old hardcore songs (like Obsolete, Sometimes, New Jersey, Houses And Billboards, My Sweet Fracture... )really remember Lifetime, other great band.

The new Saves the Day sux...

  • its not the same band. chris is the only original member.. and his vocals/music writing style are so different from when saves the day was young. most of the original members dont like chris because of how he changed the band. they completely dropped their hardcore roots..

  • std should have change their name when they changed their lineup

  • why?

  • I wish I could have seen them like that.

  • after "stay what you are" ive lost interest in STD's new stuff. its not that i don't like it. its just the new material doesn't mean as much as "can't slow down" "through being cool" "im sorry im leaving" and "stay what you are" do to me...i guess every person has that one band that they grew up with and went through everything with. saves the day is that band for me.

    this video's awesome..

  • Tell me about it. The choke is one of my favorite STD songs.. and while it seems that a lot of people prefer Through Being Cool and some of their newer albums, Can't Slow Down and Ups and Downs: Early Recordings and B-sides are my absolute favorite. I loved chris conleys voice when he was in his teens.. and prefer the style and lyrics of their early work.

  • those were the days, man. i saw STD around this time. a whole different scene. a whole different feel. ok, i'm depressed now.

  • man, I know how you feel. I'm 28 and saw them around this time too. The shows were so fun then.

  • this is awesome.

  • It may just be the poor quality, but the slow motion bit around 2:20 makes this seem all the more nostalgic.

  • This is a fantastic video.
