There was no Tracy Marander. Tracy was the name of my ex-boyfriend which Kurt used his name. The girl was a friend who hung around and agreed to play the part of his first public girlfriend. The song "About A Girl" was inspired by my 4th grade class assignment titled "All About Me" which Kurt found in my scrapbook and I still have.
