Warwick is far from an amateur, that was far from a great place to start a horse and the AEBC system works. It just takes more time time than Parelli.
I have never posted, but I'm with Reata1; lack of timing and position. I don't know any of thee horsemen, but It was clear who spoke "horse" and who was trying to please the "let's do thefeel good" lack of horsemanship.
Come on people open your eyes Warwick was not amazing not effective!!! what the heck are you talking about???? He wasnt soft he wasnt even close to being related to the colt! Open your eyes!!!! Get some glasses on blind people!!!!
Obviously you didn't see the Challenge otherwise you'd have seen the poor scared tormented horse on the Sunday when he confined it in a tiny square pen and prodded it with a stick. He tormented the little horse until it thought it had to fight back to survive. It was not a pretty sight. Finally the colt shutdown and he "sneaked" the halter on, he then proceeded to YANK its head. The horse wanted no part of Warrick because he has NO FEEL and no, I haven't changed and I never will, when will YOU?
Just in case I wasnt clear Warwick has a long way to go! If you are upset by my comment develop your understanding for what quality training looks like!!!
Reata,A person can only see as far as there knowledge will allow them to see. I acknowledge you for putting this video out there. A person that is realy looking out for the horse will understand whats behind your actions. Being a stand for the horse at times can be complisted. There is a man in that round pen working a horse in a very public forom. The work that is happening in this video is poor. Dont give me the excuse (atleast he is going slow and easy???) Quality is quality! Timing is timing
Reata, it is a little unfair that you're bagging him though, think how totally terrified those horses were, it's their instinct to evade, it's survival for them. I like that he didn't just barrel on in there and give the poor thing a heart attack
haha I was there, I wanted to write my number on a paper plane and throw it at Dan, yum! I am soo looking forward to seeing Warwicks updates, can anyone tell me where to find it?
I think your comments are not real fair. And which horse will be the better after further training. Maybe Warwicks will have more respect for him than the others. I know if a bloke rushed himself at me like the other 2 I wouldn't have the same respect....
I think Warwick was amazing. He upheld his beliefs in the McLean training system. I am looking forward to the updates on this colt on YouTube every friday. Go Warwick!!
Obviously the McLean training system has changed since I saw it in Action at their property in Clonbinane. I was shock, disgusted and appalled but the way I saw the horses treated. Of course they know how to put on a show. I sure hope things have changed.
This was amazing! The way the horses responded to the guys after they were done! wow! Do you remember when they were joking around trying to find that dan guy a girlfriend! lol

I guess you have never seen a true horseman start a colt..
Just proves to me that I was so right, he is a very sweet little horse..
The video makes Warrick look even more like a complete amateur..

Actually if you do a search on Warwick McLean, he has just posted 2 clips on there riding the colt.

Geez Reata you have not changed. What is your point?
So lassooing and flooding the horse like the other guys did was humane? What complete B.S.
Warwick at least has the dignity to not subject an already incredibly scared horse to force. At least the horse now has a chance.
I take my hat off to Warwicek for realising it was not the time or place to force the horse to respond to something it clearly wanted no part of.

Shame he doesn't do that when training horses at home. I saw more than enough when I was there to never recommend the place. Shudder!

And what comments are you talking about??
Don't put your human values on horsemanship, it shows your lack of knowledge.
