  • The cursed #1 jersey

  • GO NJ

  • JL 17 needs to summon pennys spirit

  • pENny wuz tha bestist

  • tHE WORLD NEEDS MORE OF THIS AND LESS OF THAT. (T-R-U-T-H)

  • he was an all around pg, can shoot, drive the lane, assists were crazy, defense, and he had a post up game.

  • no, they couldnt be the greatest, there wasnt a chance for that in hell. but they could be in top 50 ever

  • i miss being a kid glad i grew up in the 90"s miss 90"s nba i rem as a kid i had his shoes great song n vid

  • T-Mac said the only reason he picked #1 was because of penny! Great Video!

  • @HereeWeeGo34 and he started play basketball after saw Penny!

  • Reminds me Of Tracy

  • His grandpa Quarter was pretty good also

  • looks like he had fun

  • Anfernee " Penny " Hardaway once dubbed as the " Next Magic Johnson " too bad injuries made him weak .

  • damn if only injuries would not affect your game PENNY HARDAWAY would have been the " GREATEST POINT GUARD of his ERA " .

  • Comment removed

  • Besides M.J Penny was the nicest baller in the League !

  • I remember when I thought he was Tracy's dad

  • if he could deal with injuries he would've been HOF

  • Penny the best!

  • Tmac's play is more smoother, improved version of Penny!

  • at 0.45 that's t-mac

  • It's because TMac idolized Penny he said that was his favorite player..

  • Watching this while listening to "Penny Hardaway" by the Cool Kids :)

  • whats the song name?

  • @davedadiani Don't sweat the technique by eric b. and rakim

  • @AquaticRecords No it's not :-(

  • @davedadiani Juice/Know The Ledge

  • @PoletBally name of song? :-)

  • Wow he was the first T-Mac for orlando!

  • Tmac or Penny?

  • tmac followed right in his footsteps... even down to the injuries

  • does anyone know where i can get classic nab games on dvd.

  • I almost thought its tracy mcgrady, those two guys are so alike. both hardaways are all damn good players, tim hardaway is like iverson and penny is like mcgrady

  • Just 2 more weeks and we get to recreate all those moves with Penny in NBA 2k12!

  • @hooper4life12 No Penny dunk package :(

  • 2:11 lol

  • Forgot how good this guy was. Thanks for posting video...

  • Penny was dope back in the day. dope song for this video.

  • This guy was one of the most talented players I ever saw; he would always give Jordan and Pippen fits on offense and on defense. When I was watching him in the mid-90s, he was labeled as a more athletic version of Magic Johnson; so much potential and expectations for him....such a waste

  • @teacherryen77 Shittin me...nobody gave MJ's fits...ole dumbass!

  • Imagine the league with Penny, Grant and T Mac healthy... Damn.

  • if not for injuries and shaq leavin could we be talkin bout the penny and shaq era instead just a thought.

  • my best role model in bassketball

  • My 3 favorite players All-Time.

    1.Kobe Bryant

    2.Micheal Jordan

    3.Penny Hardaway

  • Penny was my fav even when MJ was around

  • He was good with Shaq but after nothing

  • @hmmsmellslikefish

Eric B. & Rakim - Juice (Know The Ledge)

  • Is the song Big Daddy Kane???? If so, what song? LOve this song, big props to PENNY.

  • The thing I like about Penny is he wasn't cocky, after each of these dunks in peoples face, he doesn't yell or show emotions. He's a cool guy, reminds me kind of like Joe Johnson.

  • i still have two #1 jerseys hanging in my closet

  • @snowyotter penny & tmac i hope

  • HE was actually better than both those dudes!!! Neither of them had a post game close to Anfernee's game. And Anfernee was a great defender too. If he wasn't injured, no doubt you'd have to mention him among the greats like Mike, Bird, Magic, ...etc.

  • @phanjazm Penny is not a legend!

  • thumbs up if you'd take 60 million to be a "disappointment"

  • @billsh2o

yeah he did ok, just a casual 120,000,000+ earned over his career

  • Lebron is bigger, faster and stronger version of Penny.

  • @carobbins25 penny is best athletic player all time

    lebron is jumpshoot player only

  • @skunetci Of all time?! That's a reach. Lebron is a jump shooter only?! Do you even watch Lebron play?

  • @skunetci I don't even like Lebron but I won't say no wild sh-t like that... Lebron damn near play EVERY position from point-forward(s)

  • If it weren't for his injuries Penny and Grant Hill would be two of the best all time

  • @690169 i cant say grant hill, but penny hell yea

  • @melo19ful

I say Grant Hill as well because he was a great all around player.....he did everything very well

  • @690169 No Doubt Kid!!

  • @690169 definitely.. some people are dumb and just dont know what its like to hurt your knee. if your hurt your knee once your screwed cuz itll never completely go away

  • @lilryan84

    Exactly

  • @690169 grant hill is still playing

  • @MrHugorocks

I realise that BUT he's had nothing but bad luck with knee problems and I'm simply saying if he didnt have any problems with his knees he'd be one of the best

  • @690169 McDyess would be up there too.

  • @690169 I used to tell everyone that back in high-school and everyone seemed to agree

  • @rezwanborja

Yeah I just think that Penny and Grant had SO much talent thaey'd be nearly unstoppable infact.....even when Grant wasn't clearly the same he still was a pretty damn good ball player and that was after how many surgurys ?! Those two could have been the greatest

  • @690169 No doubt

  • @690169 maybe top 50....

  • @ihofaerefa

Check this out....look up Grant hills stats in the first 4 years in the league they're sick then he started to get knee problems....

Take a look at Pennys stats they're as good if not better then Derrick Rose and you know how much all sports analysts have a hard on for Rose

  • @690169 haha, no, i am totally aware of how good grant hill was...it's apparent just by watching how he has overcome dramatic injuries today. I never really watched penny, but i get that...to be fair though, derrick rose isn't thought of as one of the best all time yet, he is only 23...and let's not get mad at drose for how analysts treat him. dont hate on today's players bc you think older players were better

  • @ihofaerefa

I never once said that I like the older players more then the players of today but what I'm saying is most people think that Rose is the best PG today well.....Penny was quicker and played better defence so one on one I think Penny would win.

I have a hard time coming up with a SF that had a great all around game that Hill had the only one I can think of with THE ALL AROUND GAME is L.James

  • Damn injuries!!!!

  • Penny Hardaway was so dam smooth

  • I was born in '86 and I watched Penny play, and around that time I was 8-10 years old. I always remember saying.. "Anfernee Hardaway is better than Jordan"... Lol, He was my favorite player in that time. Then I grew up and seen Jordan had 6 rings and broke records nobody else hasn't. Point of the story is... accomplishing things is always better than pure talent.

  • I was born in 89 so I didn't really see Penny play like that even though I grew up in Orlando, but they told me he was almost as good as Jordan, and now I can really say that may be true...

  • @marcrib79 Almost my ass! He was no where near Jordan.

  • he was a beast.but he had failed career after a couple injuries.same thing thats happening to Tmac and Vince Carter.knee injuries is a bitch, soon as you have a knee injury you're basically done.but Penny definetely would of been one of the greatest.

  • He averaged 20pts while shooting 50% in his prime. Rose,Kobe, iverson and T-mac never did that.

  • @hamzaahmed16 Penny wasn't shit compared to Rose, Kobe, and Iverson.

  • @Domini478 Kill yourself, SERIOUSLY! I'll give you Iverson but Rose and Kobe?? PLEASE! All Rose can do is drive and squeeze in tight spaces and lay it up and Kobe has to shoot over 30 times just so that 10 of them looks good. Penny had ball handles, could shoot off the dribble, drive, dunk and could defend. You must've started watching when Penny was past his prime LMAO!

  • @Lawless66007 Kobe had won 5 titles and he is 6th on the all time scoring list. Rose had won MVP and he is 22 years old! Penny could never did that! Penny had 3 good seasons and after that, he sucks monkey balls! Penny wasn't shit after 1997! Ole dumb nigga!

  • @Domini478 Im sorry but are you using TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS to determine how good somebody is? Ok so I have to use the same argument that used with the LeBron/Kobe arguement, what you just told me was that Robert Horry is better than Kobe AND Jordan because Kobe has 5 championships and Jordan has 6. Horry has 7, which means to you, Horry is better than both of them. Now you realize how dumb YOU sound? And who got Kobe one of those championships........ROBERT HORRY, dumb nigga LMAO!!

  • @Lawless66007 For Kobe to be 6th on the all time scoring list and Rose being MVP is not a team accomplishment. That is amazing talent and Penny could never did that. Robert Horry was a role player, hell, he had never won any awards, he was never a all star, and he has no NBA Finals MVPs. MJ and Kobe are stars because they had won awards, they has been on plenty of all star teams, and they have won NBA Finals MVPs. MJ has the record for the most NBA FInals MVPs.

  • @Domini478 You do realize that the first 3 Championships that Kobe got he was a role player, right? See this is why your argument about how many rings somebody has to determine how great somebody is makes you look stupid. So what was Penny's numbers back then compared to Kobe's and Rose's? You were so quick to compare stats with Horry but when it was about Penny it was about how many rings he had. Where are you going with your arguement? Look up Penny's stats and let me know what you learn.

  • @Lawless66007 Naw, Kobe was a star in his second season in 1998 and after that, the rest is history. He was a starter in every all star game he played in. He was on the all NBA first team in 2002. Penny had avg 21 points a game in his three only all star seasons. Penny haven't won any awards either. Penny couldn't do shit without Shaq. When he didn't have Shaq with him in 97, he had lost to the Miami Heat in the first round.

  • @Domini478 Are you fuckin SERIOUS??? I mean you can't be this stupid. Who was a better SG in the west at the time? OF COURSE he's gonna start. But who was Penny behind in the All-star games..Scottie Pippen. But Penny has been in All-star games. And you do know that people vote for the starters of th All-star games right? And Penny wasn't shit without Shaq? And what was Kobe after Shaq left? Kobe couldn't help the Laker's get a championship for 5 YEARS!

  • @Domini478 and who in the Jordan era got awards over Jordan? Come on dude everytime you try to prove something you look more and more dumb. Do yourself a favor and stop it. Don't reply anymore unless you have something smart to say.

  • @Domini478 You know what, don't even respond back because I just realized how old you are. You are only 22 years old so the era that you are trying argue with me about you wasn't even able to remember because you was a baby. You never watched his games nor seen anything but highlight videos. So like I said, stop it. Seriously.

  • @Lawless66007 dude don't waist your time arguing with ppl who didnt watch bball in the 90s cause they wouldn't understand.they forgot how good Hardaway, and vince carter was before the injuries.let lebron and D rose break a ankle or have a knee surgery, they won't be the same player as they once was.

  • @hoopdreams2g2btru I know but if you don't educate the youth on this they will keep spouting off stupid jibberish, thinking that they know everything. This is a way to keep them realizing how stupid they really are LOL.

  • @Lawless66007 indeed

  • @hoopdreams2g2btru Vince Carter didn't play in the 90s dumbass. He was a 2000s star!

  • @Domini478 okay and how do you back that up. Hardaway didn't feel like ball hoggn and wasn't egotistic like iverson and kobe. Rose didn't reach his prime yet so i'm not sayn nothin about him. Also just cuz he's not as flashy and exciting doesn't mean he's not as good.

  • @hamzaahmed16 Penny couldn't do shit without Shaq.

  • @hamzaahmed16 what flashy or exiting? the guy used to make top plays impossible for player now a days.

  • @hamzaahmed16 i been a magic fan for 18 years since i was born in orlando.but its trye penny crumbled without shaq. i still hate shaq tho

  • i made a new penny mix 'penny hardaway 1999 mix' thanks

    /watch?v=yyvQo7StPOY

  • Penny used to give MJ work

  • @uzernam3 Nobody worked MJ dumbass. MJ is the greatest stupid.

  • @Domini478

did i say Penny was the greatest? No, Penny was nice! if it was not for injuries he would of been up there.

  • Penny was the REAL Deal! Magic #1! Thumbs up for the Penny Sneakers

  • @uzernam3 I know penny hardaway!!!!!!!!!!! his daughter goes to my school, and she looks just like him, penny comes to our school all the time

  • Brandon Roy was never at this man's level but his career is heading in the same drab direction of doom.

  • Super skills, talent and hunger, one of few who feared well vs MJ and Pippen during the Bulls years (except 96)

  • @WeAndWeR1 Nobody could fucked with MJ.

  • Penny and Rakim in one clip?.....Pure Genius! Neither get enough credit. Penny was the reason I fell in love with basketball.

  • its really sad to see talented players like Penny, Grant Hill, T-mac... all went down becoz of injuries :(

  • @nguyenm4 Must be a wingman curse in Orlando. Can we include Francis there too?

  • @neeks6 I might aswell put Vince Carter in there. lol and he also played for the magic. lol

  • @jungle10ful You can't blame the Magic for Carter. He's consistently miserable on every team.

  • i enjoy watching all nba players why all this hating and liking.we should respect these guys.

  • i made a new penny mix called 'penny hardaway tough shots'

    /watch?v=37BEl5rhtvE

    thanks.

  • i grew up a huge Magic fan and I still am. my favorite player was always Nick Anderson but man was Penny a big reason they had so much success in the mid 90's (that Shaq guy helped, too). it's too bad we often wonder what could have been with Penny because the injuries...

  • Most of you cocksuckers never seen him play. stop riding that man dick faggots.

  • i made a part 2 new penny mix, thanks.

    /watch?v=NTvUI-Uqvjk

  • My favorite player growing up as a teenager. I always wanted to play point guard like him.

  • awesome player!

  • Comment removed

  • greatest of all times

    G.O.A.T.

  • It is quite evident from the video that Penny Hardaway played exceptionally well in front of talented players (Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Reggie Miller etc. etc.). Definitely one of the best players in NBA History.

  • @lolhahah21 No he isn't because he was good for 3 years.

  • @Domini478 Because of his injuries man... if he kept going.. he would be one of the best. I bet you Jordan would think so too...

  • Nice music and nice player...what a pity penny

  • FUCKING AWSOME PLAYER!!!

  • grant hill, tmac and penny all played for magic, this franchise has cursed.. it didnt happen to shaq coz he been traded

  • i made a miux of penny rare footage from the 90s /watch?v=edgDxQl40lU

  • the music distracted me...suckas get smacked up...lol

  • Domini478 sounds like he wants to suck MJ's Dick with all the things that he says about jordan, biggest jordan dick rider ever!!!!!!

  • penny was the shit

  • i love penny's game....LOVE IT!

  • before TMAC before LBJ after Magic this dude was a big guard that could do it all. too bad he was hit with too many injuries

  • I love 2:35.

  • What happened to Penny man he just vanished fro the NBA... I remember him being the shit. Crossing fools up, dunkin on cats, shakin niggaz up, and dishin out dimes....

  • John Wall plays A LOT like Penny.

  • lol...penny is wetting jordan's face off. WET-BOMBS!!!1

  • @biiams09 shittin me...he got nothing on MJ!

  • penny was my fav player growing up besides jordan

  • the most talented player to enter the league! HE HAD ALL THE TOOLS!

  • Penny's moves are unique..he was such an offensive weapon, but unselfish....to me his passes were the all time best...amazing vision on the court...

  • The Air Penny's wit the strap on'em are 1 of my favorite pair of kicks, oh yeah Penny was brillliant !!!!

  • penny was BRILLIANT!!

  • wow penny hardaways owns jordan back then Jordan even said penny was the only person who gave him a hard time on defense and offense i think penny would have been greateer than jordan if it wasnt for injuries

  • @bloodzallday88 Penny did not own MJ in anything...MJ own him and MJ never said that about Penny! Stop lying! Penny never avg pass 21 points in his career, so stfu! MJ has the highest scoring avg in NBA History! Penny could never do that!

  • @Domini478

MJ averaged all those points cause he was the main option all those years, plus he had a longer career and also Penny had Shaq who was a 25-30 ppg man.

  • @blackguy2011 Who cares??? Larry, Dr. J, and Shaq was the main option and they can't even do it! Penny didn't do any of that dumbass! MJ played 14 while Penny played 16 years dumbass...Him and Shaq played longer than MJ ole dumb bitch! Remember, MJ did retired three times in his career dumbass!

  • @Domini478

dude Penny was hurt for a lot of those years, MJ wasn't, so MJ Played Longer...MJ got 6 championships...cause he had a longer career...he wasn't hurt like Penny......

and dude..get off of MJ's dick...i know he was good and great and all...i know that but still....this is a penny video..not a debate about Jordan. No Dis.

  • @blackguy2011 Who gives a fuck! He still was good for 3 years dumbass....Grant had the same type of energy and he still is playing! Penny played longer than MJ dumbass...MJ played 14 while Penny played 16 dumbass...MJ won 6 because he is the greatest! You need to get off Penny's dick bitch!

  • @Domini478

First of all...i'm just admiring penny's talent.

Second. Jordan played more games..Jordan played 1,072 total games, penny played in 704...so who's the dumbass now?

and i don't care if you don't give a "fuck" that's a personal problem....you can take it up with my butt cause it's the only thing that gives a crap about "your not giving a fuck" :P

  • @blackguy2011 You are lying...Penny played more games dumbass...he just couldn't get the job done!

  • @Domini478

Hey check out the message that i sent you dude.

    Proof.

  • @Domini478 men YOU are a dumbass! penny hardaway is one of the GREATEST POINT GUARDS in the NBA history! dont hate

  • @kedtid No he is not stupid! He had only 3 good seasons and he wasn't shit after that. He went to 4 all stars dumbass. He haven't won any award either.

  • penny hardaway is the truth

  • Curse of the Number 1 jersey.

  • This guy was posting up mj. I got mad respect for this guy

  • damn i aint no penny was a killed like dat fuzz was raw back in da day!

  • penny is the standards of star players today! if you surpass penny then comes the comparing of MJ to young stars!

tmac was compared to penny, kobe was first compare to penny, lebron compared to penny when he was in HS, dwade is compared to penny, ETC.. see tmac follows penny's footstep (literally) but kobe, lebron and wade is aspiring to go beyond penny and go after MJ's stats!

  • @SweSide

what the hell are you talking bout. no one compares anyone to penny. i love that dude but everyone knows 24 is next in line behind jordan

  • @SweSide Penny is no damn legend or no fucking standard! Penny was good for 3 years dumbass!

  • Tracy Mcgrady reminds me of penny, in play style and injuries, still my favorite players

  • i'm 28 years old.penny wuz my favorite playa growin up.2 bad da injuries played him,he could had a hall of fame career.i still rock hardaway jerseys.

  • penny and tmac.. 2 fragile bodies that carry so much talent.. shame

  • He remind you of anyone?

Another former #1 on the Magic in his prime
