Well that place confuses people on what real science is, creationism is not real science, dose not explain how biology works. Well science dose explain morals, theres a good book from Michael Shermer called The Science of Good and Evil. I look at science for alot of things, science helped me out with my ADD, instaid of going along with creationists claims " god made me the way i am". How dose that help anything.

My problems with church, which influenced my athiesim. One, they still conform to dogmatic ideals. Two, they still invoke fear indoctranation, basicly conform to theology and dont question if you do your a heritic. Three, they try and make you fill guilty for living a more seculer life so you can conform into theology, sex bad, mastrubation bad, metal music bad, punk music bad, evolution bad, being a free thinker bad. It's sad, they are trying to shove their authority down everyone!

Anyway... to an extent I agree with your comments about the church, but the question I have for you:do you believe in any absolutes? Is there anything that is always wrong? Polygamy? Suicide? Absolutes, unless thats a tricky way of invoking pascals wager, no I dont. I also dont go along with the logic that if the natural world cant explain everything then it had to be supernatural. There are christians who do except evolution, they just believe god had a hand in it, that would also contradict the concept of original sin. I belive morality is inate, it was a trait passed down through are evolutionary ancesters, I dont believe religion had a hand in it.

@pbrskater26 A person can be a Christian and believe in evolution. Those two beliefs are not mutually exclusive. (I didn't know anyone was still teaching a flat earth). However, the bigger question is not whether the earth is 10,000 years old or billions of years old. The bigger question is where do our moral absolutes come from. It is possible they come from our ancestors, but the more likely answer is that there is a God who has put it in each person.
There is a creation musiem in kentucky! I'm not joking. Guy's like Pat Robertson, Kirk Camoren and Bannana man Ray Comfort support it. I know there are christians who support evolution Kenneth Miller is a nice example! I dont believe in the idea that the only way to be a good person is to be a christian, I'm the sweetist guy you will ever meet and I have good morals and I try to be alturistic I also happen to be an atheist

It is odd that you would say that you have good morals because if you don't believe in absolute truth then there is no such thing as having good morals. Actions can only be good if there is a code of conduct to base them against.

Jesus Christ died and lives FOREVER to restore the broken relationship between GOD and MAN. Amen!
Try seeking the Father. He can lead you into a wonderful relationship with Himself - You can find truth and real fellowship - You can be free from church pretense, shallow relationships, dodgy sermons and worship leaders that are so loud and in your face that you find it difficult to worship.
