  • This could have been Pink Floyd. So who copied who?

  • These boys were so great.

  • These cats were never given the 'props' they so rightly deserved. 1966 was a GREAT year for music (I was only 12 yrs old then, but the memories are priceless) & The Yardbirds were way ahead of their time musically.

  • That's a machanical fade out, into a normal fade out jajajajajajajajaja-

  • Whoever he is he's playing the right notes. Maybe Jimmy Page?

  • @2011littlejohn1 - I think it's Blackmore. He did session work back then. Not very many can play that fast.

  • These guys were cooler than anyone out there now. And, the music was from the future. Brilliant , without compare. Come tomorrow, we may all be soldiers.

  • @curiousnomad Like Hendrix, technically (in terms of skilled instrumentalists) these guys weren't all that much BUT there really is something to the totality that is their music, well in excess of even today's feature film composers. And yes, I do very well remember them back then and they are still some of my very favorites.

  • @curiousnomad I love the mechanical fade out...the robots...the sci-fi ness!

  • Toulouse-Lautrec on lead guitar - get down,

  • IF YOU WERE BECK WOULD YOU SHOW UP TO DO THIS THE TEENEBOPPERS WOULD NOT KNOW ANYWAY

  • I remember when this came out! I am so old...

  • Why the Devil is Jeff Beck on his knees???

  • that dam jeff beck WAS AHEAD OF HIS TIME!!

  • of the best ones

  • one of my favorite all time songs that's timeless

  • thank you ..60s were the best ... Lyndloo

  • surrrrreal

  • Very Great Song !

  • Great song, a personal fave.

  • This song was the song that grabbed me by the collar and changed my life. I had always loved rock music but Beck`s solo in this song was like a lightning rod that said "There`s more than music going down here". It was a feeling and a sound that gets my attention as the previous commentor has said after countless thousands of listens. GREAT

  • I guessI must have worn this record out the times I have played it over the years, Keith Relf was a very handsome bloke that had a beautiful voice, he had a style of his own and I loved it, The Yardbirds were fantastic, Ihad many of their records, I jjust love their music, I have a couple of their Albums, thanks for posting this lovley video

  • Wouldn't it be a very neat thing if there were a biography written about Keith? Of course filled with rare photos (You know me and my love for photos of Keith), and his family could do forewords, maybe even get some of the other Yardies to contribute? It would be such a cool thing, I wish that would happen.

  • It has already crossed the mind of a few fans like you to write a biography themselves... I think there are already one or two in the making, I'm not sure...Only time will tell!... ;-)

  • That would be so unbelievable awesome to read. I'd love to read a book like that that would give more focus on Keith. I hope that someday we will see one.

  • Great song and video...... I love to see brilliant vintage Yardbid clips....Thanks for posting Jim McCarty &Co... As you know my favorite Yardbird is Keith Relf.... He looks so young here....

  • what a great clip to see......scene not herd

  • Yes it's jeff but he just had a haircut obviously

  • rare and valuable footage baby ! peace

  • Thanks for posting this. Sightings of Yardbirds on film were extremely rare in the U.S. during their heyday. I have to admit that the group's appearance was the main reason why I wanted so badly to see "Blow Up" when it first came out in 1966.

  • Looks like Becky pulled another runner on the boys for this film shoot....so, who the hell is the mystery guy sitting on the ground pretending to be Jeff in this clip?

  • Looks like you may be right!!! But I can't give you a straight answer here, as I'm not a guitarist expert, I'm afraid! ;-)

  • Hello Jim, Billy here. I interviewed you a few years back for my Zep Web site. That is indeed a young Jeff Beck with a short haircut sitting on the ground. Don't let these "experts" on the Internet do your head in. Wishing you all the best from Brooklyn, NYC. Billy

  • Brilliant! A real find....and great quality. Thanks again, Snusmumriken. You're becoming a valuable resource !!
