  • I always thought she said "my name's Glooey," making his "I'll stick with you" response a pun.

  • @onefairyfan87  I'm....not....sure....But I will add this quote. Seems apporiate for this: This is not normal. "This is not normal. I'm in the middle of a God dang reptile zoo! Someone's been giving booze to people."

  • ...........i'm not high...............am i?

  • And in the end, everyone went to Miami Bitch..... Hooray!

  • I think Sally Cruikshank did the opening to Mannequin in 1987.

  • Tell me that she isn't related to lucas cruikshank, aka FRED.

  • @3afterPM Okay. But first you have to tell me that you found his real name by accident.

  • I LOVE you.

I have absolutely no idea what Sally Cruikshank's intent was in all these obscure cartoons. All I know is that she's my favorite animator, she was my first GLIMPSE of animation, and I love her work. Thanks for posting!

  • It's Balooey or something? I thought she said Gluey which would explain the Glue pun, "I'll stick with you"

  • Hey,The In Crowd was my favourite as a kid.

  • I appreciate obscurity and the weird, but I'm afraid that was far too much for me. There was so much going on it was hard for me to focus on one thing. To me, personally, that short was too chaotic. While I appreciate her doing something that is different, I have limits as to how much I can handle. If all her shorts are as "out there" as this one, that will discourage me from seeing any more of her shorts. But, as mentioned, I applaud her for trying something different.

  • Excellent work man! I remember her shorts when they were new and I was going into animation school. Thank you for the fun flashback!

  • This is the kind of thing you find on Cartoon Brew. In fact, I'm asking one of the runners of the blog if he had seen this cartoon.

  • @EHH246 He has seen it and he considers another cartoon of hers, QUASI AT THE QUACKADERO, to be a classic.

  • Holy crap, she made those Sesame Street shorts? I always remembered those shorts for being strange but endearing.

  • Nice idea of making it a music video with the Basement song. Kinda reminda me of my work. Still, I never knew who this person was, but thanks to you, I can relive my childhood, you magnificent bastard.

  • Wow. While Ms. Cruikshank's art and style is just a little bit familiar to me in the very back of my mind, for the most part I had no idea about her and her work. Thanks for sharing it with us! I'm going to follow your advice and take a browse through her youtube channel.

  • Well you know what Spoony says:

  • That sure looks like an bad LSD trip ro something.

  • It DOES look like the Grinch's para...par...the thing he opens in Grinch Night!

  • what....a hell?

  • Her animation's twisted.,. I love it! I seriously do. Sally Cruikshank must be a genius.

And really? She animated that one sequence in the third segment of Twilight Zone: The Movie?

  • Be trippy ball that this does. 0_o

  • Holy Fear and Loathing in las vegas! this is way more trippy than Hunter's Thompson Trip O.o

  • Great vid.

  • This was on MTV's Liquid Television in 1992. I so remember this style from Sesame Street.
