Both those programs enjoyed tremendous recruiting success during the years immediately following their departure. Win-win for both parties. Nothing wrong with picking a school where you can be the top dog.

Well whites faced natural selection in Europe so your first statement makes no sense. All races races face natural selection. And while the biggest, strongest slaves were sold for a higher cost, the weaker ones were also sold, just for less money. All slaves were traded, not just the strongest ones. Africa is a much harsher environment than Europe, so they had to be...i guess "bred" to be able to handle it. and although all slaves were traded, GENERALLY the stronger ones were the only ones to survive the trip to the Americas, and the strongest GENERALLY were the ones who survived slavery.
there are exceptions, of course.
and just because he can't back it up with hard evidence doesn't make him wrong. daily observation is also evidence.
