I went and listened to Bobby Darin's "Beautiful things" the supposed song and your right the cords are very similar. I got to say though as an MI fan I still believe some Kohl's commercial director has been playing a lot of adventure games.

Who the hell knows beautiful things aside from that guy ....fck beautiful things monkey island is a much more common, pronounced observer and regardless of intent, the majority who see this are going to think monkey island and not beautiy things or even pretty thoughts.

It sounds like Monster Dance from Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. If you listen from 0:03 to 0:07 you'll hear it. Now listen to Youtube: "G4JlNJWv-PM" from 0:13 - 0:17, you'll hear what I mean. It's a good comparison between the two.
